Re: BIOS updates for Intel E0 stepping

This is one of my first boards from ABIT, I used to like ASUS and Gigabyte, It is an ix38 pro, bought 2 of them and running a 5200 at 3.5Ghz on v13 bios without smallest issues. soon I want to go to Q series 45nm of intel chips, but I just do not want to get rid of my almost new abit boards - what rev of bios and type of CPU would you suggest to go with, without any headaches of incompatibility. Thank you for the input.

    Mike

I am tempted to turn off the CPU Fan Fail alarm, but if it really does fail, I want to be made aware of it. Hopefully a BIOS update will address this issue.
Getting the same problem when putting the system to sleep. Hoping on a BIOS fix.

Will this work for a Q6600 with G0 stepping? I think it will but thought I'd ask before pulling the trigger so to speak. I understand that this E0 stepping update is to support E0 chips as well, so should be fine on the existing G0 stepping ?

    Cheers

Re: BIOS updates for Intel E0 stepping

Sorry if I'm buttin in, but what is the best "proven" bios update to use with an E6750 on IP 35PRO. I'm currently using 14, and was wondering if there is a better one for clocking up my system a little bit.
    Thanks, Gary

    Hi folks,

Is there a BIOS update to support E0 and the AB9 QuadGT line of motherboards out yet?

    Awesome, thanks!

For someone who doesn't have a floppy drive, is it advisable to flash via USB? Or through Windows?

I did the exact same thing for my QX9750 last week and it too solved my super high cpu temp readout problem!

Re: BIOS updates for Intel E0 stepping

Does anyone have any experience with IP35Pro and new E6300 R0 2.8GHz, is it supported with bios v18? Will it work?

Will there be an E0 support for the Fatality F-I90HD? I have 5 of them and I don't want them to go to waste...

With this Bios the E6300 R0 2.8GHz works great with my Abit I-G31

Re: BIOS updates for Intel E0 stepping

Hmm, can't post with q9550 and ip35-e on bios 18, but with this new beta one it posts fine and shows the right temperature. However, it seems that adjustment of vcore is now impossible?

    PS
I booted fine on Bios16, only it limited the multi to 8. Can't remember if I could adjust voltages..

    Regards,

Re: BIOS updates for Intel E0 stepping

    Hello guys.

This is my first post on this forum, so don't go hard on me.

Today I changed my E5200 M0 for an E8400 E0. Works fine, but iI discovered that there are some submenus missing from my BIOS, like the EIST option and the CPU Multiplier. I have the IP35 board, with BIOS 18, works fine @ 400x9, 1.25V CPU VID, but when I crank it up to FSB450 it freezes in Prime95 instantly, even with 1.35V.
I read there is a 18 Beta BIOS for this board but I'm having some difficulties finding it. Is there any improvement using this Beta version of BIOS?

    10x. Cheers!

    Alex.

L.E. Oh, and my board reports 42-43 degrees on cores and 98 on CPU. In LinX it gets to 60 degrees, but it won't go lower then 42. It freezes at 42, but the heatpipes are cold.
