Abit IP35 Pro XE Network Drivers

    Hi,

I have an Abit IP35 Pro XE, have had it a while now. Mainly been using Windows 7 RC, but since it's gonna run out in a few months and I can't afford to upgrade right now, I'm going back to XP.

So last night I backed everything up, formatted the drive and installed XP (Home). All went well, but upon booting into XP I had no internet access. Fine, the drivers haven't laoded, although I'm sure they normally do with XP although I may be wrong as 7 just picks everything up. I looked around for the disc that came with it, but couldn't find it, so I went to the Abit website for help.

    http://www.abit.com.tw/page/en/mothe...RODINFO=Driver

This is what I found, the drivers page for the Abit IP35 Pro XE. I downloaded all these drivers to my laptop (which took ages whichever mirror I used, your download speeds are terribly slow), copied them to USB and put them on my PC. After installing the Intel chipset drivers I rebooted. Nothing. I installed the Realtek Gigabit LAN drivers, nothing. As you can see from this list, there's no other drivers relating to network so I'm a bit stuck!

Where can I get the correct drivers for my motherboard please if they are not available on your website?

    Thanks,

    Allen

How large are the files? Would it be possible to upload it to FTP (if I give you host details) if not too much?

are you aware that abit has been no more for over a year now?
Pretty much only some rump warranty support left.

Anyway, have you tried getting the latest Intel & Realtek drrivers from their respective sites?

Really?? I had no idea, lol... If I had known that, I wouldn't have bought an Abit motherboard.

No, I'm not at the PC so can't tell which drivers I would need. Although I could check the Abit site to see if there's any info there on the Realtek controller.

Re: Abit IP35 Pro XE Network Drivers

Thanks, no idea which of those I need though, will have to investigate more when I get home.

As I thought, the Abit website doesn't appear to have details of the onboard network adaptors I have, so it's either gonna come down to guess work or trial and error.

I'm sure I didn't have this problem before!
