Joining the IP 35 Pro Will not Post club

This started happening today. Last night I was using my computer after having been away for a few days with friends. I start playing BFBC2 and the game crashes, which is odd because eversince I put in my new XFX Radeon 5870 It has not done. I reboot and shut down clean.

I come home from work and the system will not boot. Board Post indicator is stuck on 26 and I am getting no video becuase the board does not do anything with video until it hands over to BIOS. Unlike any of the other IP 35 no post issues mine always craps out on 26, I have not had the time to attempt multiple power cycles and as such I am reporting what I have seen from the 5 or so attempts I have tried. Posting from the family's back up computer specs are as follows:

Intel Q6600 Processor (no overclock, air cooled)
    4GB Patriot DDR-800 Memory
    XFX Radeon 5870 Video Card
PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750 PSU
    HDD's
    1 - 150GB Raptor
    1 - HItachi 1.5 TB
    1 - Samsung 1 TB
    2 - Western Digital 2 TB

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

26 is a graphics card error. Try unplugging your card from the board, re-seating it and reconnect the power to it. Do you have a spare one lying around? If so slap another one in there and see if you can get it to boot.

Re: Joining the IP 35 Pro Will not Post club

Confirmed I have my previous secondary card in my system and it booted fine.

Avoid XFX graphics cards, I had a brand new Radeon 5870 in my rig and it lasted maybe 1.5 months.

I have a ticket open waiting for a refurbished card.

    Thanks for your help, Evil!
