Is it possible to drag files onto the iPod from my Mac / Pc which aren't mp3 extensions? For example could i drag a .exe setup or files which make up a game or something? As in a portable harddrive?
Thanks

Yup, win2k and above doesnt even need nay drivers to access it as well.
Excellent, that will go perfect as a portable Hard drive with my new G4 Power Book
look in the ipod options and you will notice it says "Drive Setup" tick the box and thats it, you now have a removable HD.

I actually have another I Pod related question. Has anyone ever had their I Pod freeze. My son has a 2 gig I Pod and for some reason it will not charge, either on my computer or in his new TEAC am/fm I pod radio? Can anyone help?
try resetting it i suppose..
hold the middle button and menu for a while.
or maybe its the middle button and play/pause
try both
thanks the menu and middle worked to reset and now it is charging
np mate, glad it worked
Something I would like to point out is not only can you use an iPod as an external hard drive, but you can also use it as an external boot drive for OS X, I was running my powerbook from my iPod mini for a while when I was having hard drive problems.
