And it's a shame that Apple still can't get a decent battery into a portable music player. 12 hours on a flash based player? Having a laugh tbh . .

The Shuffle is basically a memory stick with mp3 functions, not really much of an innovation when there's already a bunch of them on the market, however, it is one of the larger ones in that form factor.

I'd guess it's prolly a lappy hdd in order to help the form factor.

As for RAM, yeah it's PC2700 DDR.

Although I'd want to add the Bluetooth and WiFi options

256MB of PC2700 (333MHz) DDR SDRAM, expandable to up to 1GB*

*Memory upgrade must be performed by an Apple Authorized Service provider.

I imagine you could do it yourself, but you'd lose your warranty..

Probably be hex-bolts of some description. 512Mb upgrade for £50 isn't too bad, but a gig at £280 is just ripping the ****.

Just trying to figure out how much "more" this is over an iBook (how much more computer, I mean).
    Well Hello!

Yer but it's a case of getting the clips to come out first. I'll try when we get a display one at work (12% discount here we come)
