I have a new addition to my setup, pics soon
They are fine unless you have a bloody panny tv.

I got a 525 and it could just not handle the way the tv worked. Even after calls to Canada!

It was the way that you switch between different inputs with the coloured buttons. Pressing different sequences gave you different inputs. It just never worked. Oh well, I have only 5 remote controls to handle!

Ah yes, that used to irritate me greatly when we had a Panny CRT downstairs. I don't see why you can't program the Harmony to work in the same way though. Press the input button then one of the colours IIRC

I tried, lots. As did the helpdesk people but neither of us could get it right!

Their helpdesk people are really very good though. The best I have come across.

Was this when you were setting up activities? I.e to automatically switch inputs etc? I can see that might get tricky but if you use the remote like I do and just scroll between the devices operating each one, I don't see why it shouldn't work

Do you not still have the remote then?

It was for activities and also just day to day use. Just too clunky to use with the panny.

Flogged it on AVforums a while ago!

Well, it arrived, and I've finally got it setup so that I'm reasonably happy with it.

Tadaaa! Not really much to write home about - Tosh 32C3035, XBox360, Panasonic 5xDVD Changer & Surround Sound. Oh, and the iPod running through the 360 for in game music

And the PC(s) that drive the media side - White one was (and still is) the project I had a thread on in ModHouse, Silver p160 is my old gaming PC/media machine. Oh, and one of the speakers from the 5.1 set. Printer is a Photosmart c5280 which is pretty good (but not really AV )

Need to have a tidy up, but thats my media centre for the moment

    Re: Your HDTV Setups

    Some nice looking setups!!

Question: I have a shed load of remotes for my setup and was googled the Logitech remotes as suggested earlier in the thread. One stood out to me...

    The main bit is this:
'No Line of Sight Needed: You can put your components in the cabinet or even the next room.'
Now, I don't see how it's possible unless you have IR pickups next to all your gear, which basically makes it pointless. If there IS some way it can work though then it would be a great solution to me as I want to hide my amp some place but the thing stopping me is line of sight for the remot.

Anyone know how they apprently get around the LOS issue?

    Thanks!
