About 35-38 mpg for me.
Audi A3 1.6.
Touch off topic, sorry howard...
Was on the skyline owners club last night having a read, and why is it some of them prefer to keep the gts-t and modd the ass out of it when they could buy a gtr.. the admin beigcheif if i recall is one of the suspects.. got like a 500 bhp gts-t or something!! or is it due to the fact they dont like awd..
....why yes you do. I get 38mpg tops (normal driving) but (with great effort) can push it down to 18 Same car (with some mods..)
My Audi 80 does something like twice the mileage on the same cost of fuel (which is nice) when it's on the road. Darn things got a frozen front brake calliper..
Nice to see the elderly filling out those top gear surveys isn't it? Gets them out the house - you know - to post itOriginally Posted by directhex

As always it depends how I drive, but it can be anywhere between 60-75mpg in my petrol aygo, its around 380-420 miles to the tank. Oh and take heed all you petrol guzzling car owners its emissions are rated at just 109g\km; £40 tax.
52mpg in my fabia tdi is pretty normal. high 40s if I'm in a hurry.
I do save a bloody fortune on fuel compared to my renault megane. Just dreading the service costs this month!
Oh, now thats interesting...
What year is yours? Im thinking one of two things.
1) Mine is a newer one (2004/5 model) that has fuel injection over the old carbs used in the earlier models. Would this effect fuel usage when riding harshly?
I've no idea - anyone want to give some input?
2) I have a fuel gauge on mine (and as we all know, they are hardly the most reliable things on a bike ), and im wondering if im just imagining it as it seems to go down in "stages" and not smoothly. Although that seems common across all bikes, it makes it very hard to tell.
You been on the motorway with yours yet?
Its a killer. My neck muscles have grown 2 fold - No fairing, no fly screen, I couldn't believe the force of the wind at =>70
10yr old Rover 620 2l gets around 32mpg if im carefull with my foot
just amazed myself yesterday, did a 200 mile round trip to skegness for a day out, hit reset on the MPG as i set off, was lucky to be under 60mph and spent a lot of time overtaking with foot to the floor getting up to 100+..
got home to 34.5MPG
not bad for 2.8 !
I have a peugeot 307 2.0 HDI 110 rapier.
I average 45 MPG.
Mostly motorway driving at rush hour so a lot of stop starting.
getting through a tank of diesel a week at mom with work and visiting the missus
