From this list, C-Class or Mundano - (the first Mondeo I'd actually consider owning, but don't tell anyone)

Right, now that's over we should have HEXUS Shed of the Year 2007.

I reckon the early running's on Silentdeath's SAAB, but Cocopops' Fester is gaining ground...

I voted for the mondeo as my dad has had many as company cars and I have always been impressed with the build quality and I'm sure the new one doesnt disappoint on that.

Re: HEXUS Car of the Year 2008?

Voted for Qashqai, I had to because I have a top of range Qashqai Tekna 4WD 2.0L Diesel Auto with SatNav. I just really like the crossover idea, It's not the size SUV like a RAV4 or CRV but just about has the ability of them. It's the length of a Focus/Golf but has a great driving viewpoint and I love all the gadgets and toys it has.

Re: HEXUS Car of the Year 2008?

    Surely

HEXUS Car of the Year 2008

    should be

HEXUS Car of the Year 2007?

Best car there overall is probably the new Mondeo, though if I had to buy a car tomorrow it would be the Mazda 2 - looks great, Mazda reliability / build quality and based on the floorpan of the next generation Fiesta so drives well too.

The Fiat 500 looks cute but its not much more than rebodied Panda.

Re: HEXUS Car of the Year 2008?

I'm stumped as to why the Fiat 500 is Car of the Year. It's almost certainly not as well built as German or Japanese cars (or even Korean cars for that matter). It doesn't even look that good unless you are a fan of the toy-car look! So, why???...

The Panda is likely to be a better buy anyway.
