I've found it is usually reps in Vectras and VW Passats that are the worst - not only for sitting three inches from my rear tyre, but also being in the way while I'm filtering - if they can't go anywhere, why on earth should I?

3 series BMWs for me, almost always. Can't say I've seen many Audis right behind me (I drive an Audi though, dunno if that makes any difference).

it does seem to be mostly German marques - either them or Novas with tinted windows, large bore exhaust tail pipes (usually on a stock engine) etc. ...

Re: Which car are you MOST likely to see rammed up your exhaust pipe on a Motorway?

BMWs and Audis, always. The BMWs are usually cheaper 3 series and not that agressive, they just hang there. The Audis are always Mr Agro and flashing etc to try and get you to hop into the lap of the car you're overtaking..

Re: Which car are you MOST likely to see rammed up your exhaust pipe on a Motorway?

If your on the M62 between rainhill and warrington it`ll prolly be me up the back end in my pug 307. Saying that though I only drive up peopls back end who refuse to pull over even though the other lanes are empty.

In regards to other cars it`s nearly always the BMW`s who drive up the back end flashing their lights at me.. Usually makes me slow down though and set up a rolling road block with the car in the middle lane

I Wanna say Golfs as they are usually the worst offenders, although irritatingly a Micra saw my tax disk after coming so far into me :S I now have a nice bend in the Meriva's side

3 series, definitely, although I'd echo the Nova comment above and add Saxos with wonky exhausts. White vans, always, and they are the worst for lane swooping. Most artics leave enough room, but some are driven by utter ******s who insist on tailgating.

Agree with Paul on this one, its almost always those bloody white vans wether it be a sprinter or transit .. BMW are also the worst ..

Re: Which car are you MOST likely to see rammed up your exhaust pipe on a Motorway?

I thought Golf's as soon as a read the thread title...

Best one for me was on the way back down the 42 having been to Reyland in brum in the Calibra, weather was crap, traffic was crap, woman in a Golf sat on my arse, I pulled into the middle lane to get out of her way (See, nice me) she accelerates alongside and upto the bumper of the car infront, outside lane slows down a bit and I draw alongside, shes about 10 foot off the car infront, leant forwards over the wheel with her phone to her ear...

I was waiting for someone to say Vectra, as I drive one. Just not close enough to inspect someones exhaust.

usually I find though it's VW drivers, Golf, Passat and Corrado are \always tail gating me and thats dowm here on the A30 in Cornwall.

When I am on the motorway it's always a Honda Civic.
