£75 for a recon and about £15 for a Haynes manual. There's also a wealth of info knocking around on the web. Are you on any Vectra/Vauxhall forums? VVOC.co.uk, migweb etc.

No not on any of the forums. Problem I have is that even with all the help and info thats out there on the net, I for the life of me would still not be able to fit this part. I'm happy to do things like oil filters, oil changes spark plugs etc but not big jobs like this, I'm likely to make things worse and it would cost me more after to get a pro to fix my botch up.

Some of the other places I phoned up were either un-interested in helping me or gave me really high prices. I think the highest quote I had earlier this morning was £392, the stealers wanted nearer £500!!

    Shame you're so far away

Where abouts in PastyLand are you, I may have someone who could offer you assistance - I think he's on HEXUS too, but not very active.
