Re: Do I have any kind of case here? (Parking ticket)

We have an urban clearway during rush-hour that is normal marked parking the rest of the time so I don't think the lines are needed (they probably just indicate the rules when the signs are not in force).

Just because you find a flaw doesn't necessarily mean the council are down the next day fixing things... council's move slow.
    Will do, thank you.

Get on pepipoo pronto. It looks very dodgy to me TBH. All the Red Routes in London are clearly marked with single or double red lines, they don't just slap a sign up and expect people to notice them as they drive past. As far as I'm concerned, if there's no line on the road (and it's not a motorway or a trunk route) then it's fine to park there.

Aren't Red Routes and Clearways different things?

A clearway does not need lines...

They are designed to allow commuter traffic through during the stated times, and as you were parked there within the stated times, you got ticketed...

According to the sign that you posted, you cannot be parked between 8:00 - 9:30 or 4:30 - 6:00

I'm guessing they mean 'clearway'. The time says 9.23am....
If that's all it says on the ticket with regards to the situation, then you might get away with it, since you're not stopped on a red route (or a "clea"). Small technicalities like that are usually enough to wangle free of tickets.

got to your local council building and ask them in reception, they should tell you what to do there. Since you need to leave your car somewhere
