If we have to stay in the Audi brand then I think an A6 SE sounds like the best motorway cruiser. As said the s-line's do come with suspension which is much too firm for the class of car, in my Integra it's acceptable - but a motorway cruiser? Not so much.
Personally I'd be looking at a 5 Series or an E-Class if you can live with the old man image, but then I'm no Audi fan.
My boss has got the A4 S-Line and he loves it, spends most of his drive time on the motorway too...
I drove an SE and felt no difference, maybe its because I've been doing 1300+ miles a month in an MX5 and my backside is totally numb!

out with the old Mazda
in with the new A4 S-Line
It was so hard to let the Mazda go, I have to admit that I was quite upset when I drove away.
