V true, however they are more....quirky, the shock factor is kind of ok, its small, cute , different somehow, but most of all, they aren't 80k luxury cars.

You know when you buy something with the Porsche badge you are buying something of absolute beauty- the pinnacle of German automobile design, not a funky little runaround with a curious little bonnet and girly styling.

This thing looks like a copy of what car magazine with pages missing, and to add the final touch they add 70's chrome trim around the side windows.

Its a steaming vomit encrusted pile of smegma with a Stuttgart badge.

    Incredible.

honda nsx? you might like the look of them but 7.5 secs to 60 for a 60k 'super' car is just taking the p*ss

its 5.3 seconds actually 5lab, and it is quite high for a super car yes, but it corners better than any other super car except the odd few.

Btw, the new SLK is almost out - it looks good and apparently is a much better car in all departments. Tbh the old one is just... old.

TTs got too common for my taste too, and too girly.

The Cayenne does look like its a mistake. The Touraeg looks better and has the bonkers V10 diesel with enough torque to move mountains

Renault Vel Satis is probably over 25k, but even if its not i'd slap it here, together with the avantime.
Tough on mirrors, tough on the causes of mirrors.

That koenisegg thing for one, £350,000 and it breaks down every 5 minutes.. watch the gumball 3000 dvd, and watch the bloke driving it getting more and more peeved as he spends more time getting it fixed than actually driving it lol

Most American "super cars".. fine as long as you don't throw any sort of bend in the road at them (apart from the new Ford GT40 apparently, it actually *likes* corners! )

The current Rolls Royce (Phantom?). Holy Crap that is one ugly box, looks like it's been modelled with a set-square.. :|

Yeah, that is kinda crap, but there is a 280bhp 3.2litre version which manages it in 5.7 secs, which is a little more repectable..

The manual version does it in the 5's, the auto does it in the 7's.

Basically for a supercar, even an auto its slow.

its a vtech thou (hence why its NA) but its still not great. 7.5 seconds is appauling - a clio 182 can do it faster than that and you could buy 4 of them for the price!

Well... Most of the obvious choices have already been said - but imagine my suprise (and horror) to learn that the VW Sharan tops out at £27,000! For a van with windows!

There is some appaulling (sp?) cars on show here lol! I think i am changing my opinion slightly and must highlight my true hate for the Porsche Cayenne...utterly shocking. I was out wif my m8 yesterday and we were behind one and spent 5 minutes slagging it off. Yep, that is defo one of the ugliest cars for over 25k! How much do they start at?

    40-50k iirc

thing is, they are actually good cars, if thats what you want. let me explain..

if your after a poncy 4x4 (as many people are), in the ~£40k pricerange you have a few choices.. with disadvantages

range rover - drinks like no tomorrow, makes you look like you're from the country
volvo xc90 - very good but cba to wait 18 months
vw thingy - same as the porshe but who spends £40k on a vdub?
beemer x5 - common as muck, and these sorta people want uniqueness
porshe - good brand (imo), reliable (probably), and pretty rare.

im not saying i'd buy one, i think those big 4x4s are hateful things, but its actually a pretty good choice for the money/style..
