    Skoda Fabia 2002 1.9 TDI

I have a Fabia which has the flashing oil light can (red) and the audible beep for oil warning.
To date I have changed the oil and added an additive, I have changed the oil pressure switch and also the oil pump and the oil filter housing. These were all genuine parts. I have also contacted Skoda and a few other garages for technical advice and they have all said they don't know what to do now ! I have tried and changed all that it could be but still the problem persists. Anyone out there able to help please? p.s. Earth leads have also been checked and cleaned and the oil pressure reading is ok.:

Re: Skoda Fabia 2002 1.9 TDI

This would be better posted in our dedicated auto forum in general discussion - hopefully a friendly mod will come along and move it for you

However, I fear that if your local Skoda garages / dealers are unable to work out what's wrong I'm not sure the hexites will be able to! If you've taken all possible actions to fix the oil issues then my guess would be that it's a faulty sensor / warning light, but the garages you've spoken to should have checked that...

Get it scanned for faults - where are you based, I may know someone local to you.

Without a fault code scan, you're peeing in the wind.

I find it odd Skoda don't know though.

If a main dealer for most manufacturers, I expect they will take the money and still guess

I thought most modern cars require a visit to a diagnostics computer to tell the dashboard to stop displaying a fault though?
