    BMW 135 M sport.. in the cold ... frosty .... just don't

Thats all I have to say.

Traction Control my..... my... butt cheeks

lights never stopped flashing, the thing was twitchy hell...

if I've ever known a car that was designed for warm and dry... that was it!

    Road tests = rubbish.

Utter drivel.. go google a few reviews.. then compare to my twitching butt... blummin thing was useless.. I'd have been faster in an old Astra or a Mini tbh.

I've been having trouble like . Only got a little 1.8 Corsa but we've had a lot of snow too.

I'd have thought a 3.5L rwd bmw would be one of the most fun things money could buy at this time of year? .

All the guys at work have BMWs as company cars so as soon as the snow hits i get a day off as its too dangerous for them to drive in!

I've got a rear wheel drive, after last winter's near misses, it's staying firmly in the drive till the weather eases up.

/Slightly off topic, but its not a 3.5 litre, its a 3 litre straight 6 thats twin turbo'd.

/on topic! Zak, I'll trade you the 135i for the 335D.

Autobox + 420 lb-ft of torque from almost idle! Still wanna talk about twitchy?!

This week, 4x 17's off a 320i, and a set of Goodyear Eagle Vectors are turning up at work. Then the tables should be turned.

My 2 ton death van was horrible to drive home tonight, took 2 hours to do a 30 minute journey. I have however, almost perfected my sideways parallel parking

Traction control, would be nice to have that on my car had it 'slightly' sideways going round a

Yeah but light + low bhp is better in snow, not much use in my A4 1.8T sport, wish I went for a Quattro now lol

my MX5 used to go sideways in the dry! My A4 was ok last year but still not fantastic and due to the s-line body the nose was too low and was snowed in in no time.

My 7 is 'fun'. You'd think with all that weight there'd be some traction, but no.

took the 328 out today after getting enough charge to start it (been sat 2 weeks) was an utter bitch to get up our street to the main road, pulled off and traction promptly cut in and left me stood still

245's on a RWD and its staying put until good weather

I know some Swedes who always tell me that all you really need for the snow is Front wheel drive and snow tyres.

Easily - my old Astra was fab in the snow. The only time I've seen BMWs actually pull over to let me past

The A3.. won't be as good - no feel for the grip at all and wider tyres On the plus side, I don't have to go cross country on little lanes any more to work.

Living an working in London, I have say I have seen no sign of snow at all, a bit of ice perhaps but just a normal (cold) drive to work.

Re: BMW 135 M sport.. in the cold ... frosty .... just don't

Been driving the GT-R in RWD mode since September just for kicks and giggles - but had to turn the 4WD back on when I realised I was not going to get out of my street

Once the car had finished sliding backwards down the hill I popped 4wd on and drive straight out. Gotta love 4wd even with 265 tyres it's like a land rover!!!!
