    Potential Hot Hatch

A girl I know vaguely is looking at a new car and this is her list.

    Ibiza FR 130PD
    Ibiza Cupra 160PD
    Ibiza Cupra 180 20vT
    Fabia vRS
    Peugeot 206 GTI
    Clio 182
    Mini Cooper S

Which do you lot rate and which are cack? She's a bit shy and not very confident so she's not likely to post on a Forum, so I'll see if she's interested in what you lot say. Some are pretty obviously girly cars, so be aware she's a hairdresser.

    Cheers drivers.

If it was me I'd have the Ibiza Cupra 180 20vT but the Peugeot and Mini seem more "girly"?

I'd get the hot diesel Ibiza, diesels rule. If not, the Clio 182.

I haven't driven any of these mind, nor am I likely to any time in the near future

I think it would be best to tell your friend to save her money and get the bus.

Those cars are all a little shocking, unless of course she buys them in pink

Either of the cupras would get my vote. I could never vote for the fabia's as IMHO they have got the ugliest back end going, ever! (And I own a new megane!! )

Of course Mini's would be up there, but that's a given

No other ideas tho? Colour will be the biggest issue as it is with any girly.

She'll want it bright...it needs to look as shocking as when we first saw a 3dfx card in a PC...ya know..that eye opening jaw dropping moment.

Clio 182..... but it would have to have all the gordini strips and cup pack etc.....

then again though....... a few more grand would get you a nice second hand Clio V6

I THINK she has an issue with badges. The VW/Seat thing is a big hitter with her. Its an image thing.

and it must be BRAND NEW

If its an image thing wont she be better off with a 206 CC. Think they are pants, but they do have a good girly image.

tbh if its image shes concerned about then most of the ones you listed are performance cars, pretty much wasted unless she likes to plant her right foot. Better off going for a hairdresser car like a mazda rx or a low spec mr2

I know what you mean about the 3DFX card, jaw dropping at first then really, really annoying as you realise it wasn't supported by anyone or anything shortly after. Kind of like an unwanted friend you couldn't get rid of.

As for the car she should get the Mini. Unless she's one of those annoying people who can't believe that VW/Seat can make a bad car and that they're the best things since sliced bread.
