It'd just done a 250 mile run on some crappy old roads when it looked like that. But I don't mind, covers up the rusted out boot lid (I have a new one to go on, just too lazy to fit it).

    That's the full picture

Fron one's a 2L DOHC Ghia which I do most of my miles in. It's an 8V unit, but 2V/cyl makes for some nice torque low down. 120BHP RWD, Averages 35mpg and can sit at 45mph on nice long runs. It Replaced my fiesta of much 1.1ness when I was 18.

Then the back one's the 150bhp 2.9 V6 4x4. None of them dodgey calibra type transfer boxs either! 60/40 torque split bias to the rear with limited slips on the rear diff and coupling front and back - all for £600.

Ahh the old V6 Cologne, remeber them well, I almost went down the Ford route after I blew my 1st cav up, m8 of mine had an XR4 but the clutch had seized on it n we couldnt get it moving so I ended up buying another Mk2 Cav instead...

    Well my little car

is a little older now.... it's got only 104k on the clock, all due to the job i was made redundant from as of about 2 weeks ago...

It will look pretty good under the bonnet

but it is going in to the BMW dealers tomorrow to have a few things fix...

Well the ABS Relay need replacing as does i think the o/s/r ABS sensor
Also I need to have the Crank Sensor replaced (as it stuff) and also a new idle valve..

So this car will be getting sold within the next 2 months (after I get a new job).... already looking for new cars.. currently I have a half hearted eye on this

Althought, i don't particually like the newer shape... and also this one don't have the hard top option..

insurance is <£400, and thats on a 2l injection engined car (only 22, with 1 year ncb.. now you see why i like volvos??)

neither accident was my fault, the first would have been seen as my fault, but fortunatly nothing other than my car was damaged. 2nd accident was caused by an articulated lorry driving on the wrong side of the road up a blind hill. so kinda his fault (just a bit). still waiting for a payout

    Wink

Ditch the 4 wheel buckets, leave behind that big chunk of metal and brave the opne roads

Driving cars got boring after 17 years of it, at least with a bike if the wind hasn't stuck the grin to your face, the speed will

jumpsuits are optional extra's (not that i would ride without one )

and as for 4 wheels being better than 2 in this weather, that was probably correct for about 2 weeks of the last 12 months in this country

    My current (inherited) drive:

2003 Mk3 Nissan Micra 1.2. Shiny darkish blue.
(I would have cleaned it but it has about as much street cred as your mum whether clean or mucky so meh )

    Girly review bit:
All standard features. It gets me from A to B (99% of the time, blimin thing broke down last night ) but I'd hardly describe it as fun or interesting to drive. Only complaints would be how other drivers on the road seem to assume I'm a middle aged woman so overtake me at any (often stupid) opportunity they can, cut me off at roundabouts, drive up my bum etc. It's nice enough to drive but I'd prefer something a bit speedier! (Sure the insurance company would love that lol)
I really like the locking system and for a standard cd player/stereo system I'd say what it came with was pretty grand . It's nice enough to drive though can be a bit of an arse in slow moving traffic.

No planned mods or anything as I hope to be posting in here again in a couple of months time with something a little more to my taste
