    bling!

21 years old, central locking, electric windows, rare alloys (only set in the country we think), sunroof, heated seats, 4 speaker stereo (not origional, i think, but pretty old), and a nice colour imo..

Cool first car dude! I test drove one of them before I bought my current clio. Next step: Get rid of those orange indicators!

Yeh i'm planning on ordering some clear side repeaters and silver indicator bulbs because the current orange ones stand out a bit too much for my tastes.

    http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=1414 and http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=258

I'm also currently trying to find out if theres a way to change the headunit and keep the steering wheel controls and dash screen because I don't really want to loose them but wouldn't mind a bit more of an advanced hu that the standard renault one.

Luckily mine came with clear side repeaters already. I know what you mean about the front and rear indicator bulbs! They look like fried eggs standard! I bought mine from http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk and got some Philips Bluevision sidelight bulbs free. Car looks much better now. (mines on the page before yours) Edit: Just noticed they're cheaper from Powerbulbs, plus you get free delivery! (plus the free sidelights) Not sure which company sells the 'silver-ist' though!

I think your options are limited Stereo-wise... I know for a fact you can get adapters for Sony and Alpine, but they just enable you to use the steering control, you will loose the dash HUD. Otherwise, its a dead easy fit, with no other adapters needed.

Looked at yours and 'tis very nice, deffo like the clear repeaters looks load better. Think the powerbulbs will probably be my best bet for getting the indicator bulbs.

Originally looked at getting a 1.4 but being 17 with 0ncb had to go for a 1.2 to keep the insurance costs down. Planning on keeping this for a year and getting some ncb then probably chopping it in for a 1.6 or maybe something else, hope to be able to get a 182 once the insurance becomes economical.

Yeah, it sucks being young! I know all about that! I want to 'upgrade' to a 182 too. Unfortunately I lost my ncb after a bump last year, so the insurance will be £2000+ ! Thats more than double what it would have been with my ncb! So I may have to wait a while. (unless someone will insure me for less than a grand! )

i dunno, sticking a caravan on the back of that (horrid suggestion i know) could make it the ultimate road-trip-mobile..

Trust me - the tow bar is going... hideous looking thing! Cant be having an eyesore like that on her rear!

    She set me back £2,495
Got full VW service history and it looks like pretty much every receipt for any type of work done on her since 93. She drives lovely!
