Mid-life crisis car required!

Having crept to the wrong side of 40 i'm one of those blokes that needs to pretend i'm in my 20's! I'll be looking to replace my nice, comfortable but oh-so-boring BMW 530i when its warranty runs out in around 15 months time. I need a car that satisfies men in their mid-life crisis. I had a Porsche Boxster a couple of years ago but sold it after 18 months as I was paranoid about driving it to dodgy parts of the UK for work.

Hence, i'm looking for a reasonably practical car (i.e. must have a small boot at least) that can be driven daily but has driver appeal and performance. I fear it's going to be another Boxster or the new Porsche Cayman S but there must be others nearly as good in that price range (aorund £45K).

£45k should buy you a reasonable F355 or maybe a 456 if you do a lot of traveling? Come on, be honest with yourself... there is no better mid-life crisis car than a classic Ferrari

Monaro, still semi practical but if u wanna go nuts bolt a blower on it or theres several turbo options..
