    The new Lotus Europa S

    Lotus has unveiled its now 'grand tourer', the Lotus Europa S.

    This could throw a spanner in the works in my quest for a mid-life crisis car that I need to buy in 12 months time. I thought I had my shortlist sorted until the Lotus Europa S turned up. It does look very, very desirable.

    I strongly suspect it is aimed at the American market, hence the Mazda / pseudo-Ferrari look. That colour is very un-European too.

    The Europa S has a bigger boot to increase its touring credentials, and Lotus is hoping to appeal to more customers by making the car more user friendly than its current models.
