Here's my 2003 Jeep Liberty!
I've only had it a few months now, so I'm still working out a few details before getting to any mods I have planned. I got it cheap because it needed a clutch, which I did myself. Other than that, it has a sound body (rust is a real issue with these where I live, due to the high salt usage on the road in the winter) and drivetrain. It needs a new tailgate and rear doors, but those are pretty easy to find used.
First thing on the list is tires, as they don't have much life left in them, and there's a nail in the right rear in the sidewall which causes a slow leak. I'm looking at either Mickey Thompson STZ or BFG MT/R KM2s - the STZs are cheaper, but the KM2s are much better off-road. I would like to do a small lift, just 2-3" to get a little better centre ground clearance, as I'm always catching my crossmember and muffler on rocks. I might add 1.5" spacers to the wheels too.
I love driving it so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it does in the Canadian winter.
A little Rally car from Spain...

I'd like to know too....
Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
It's the best car I've driven.
Wonderful chassis that corners like a dream if you keep it tidy, or drifts like a lunatic if you don't. Lots of feel and a progressive nature mean that it doesn't feel like it's going to spin you off into a ditch though; I've slid the back end but never spun it despite being a RWD noob. It rides well on standard suspension, better than most hot hatches, yet has much less body roll due to the low centre of gravity. I kept up with a Golf R through the twisties on track, it wasn't until we got to the back straight that he burned me off.
Engine is revvy but not torquey, so you have to gun it to get moving a bit. That said, despite what some reviews say, it's not a slow car, 200 bhp in a 1.25 ton car is pretty nippy to say the least. It helps that the low driving position means you get a good sense of speed. I get low-30s MPG on my commute to work (almost all B-roads), you can get 35-40 mpg on the motorway without much effort. The gearbox is nice and positive with a short throw.
Interior is reasonable, but not that special. Quite a few rattles and the sound insulation is fairly minimal so there's some road noise. Standard sound system is gutless. The saving grace is that the seats and driving position are really good. They hug you nicely so you can throw the car round a bit without worrying about sliding about, but are comfy enough to do multi-hour journeys.
One other thing is it's a car that draws a lot of attention (in a good way). People compliment me on the car all the time, even strangers at petrol stations.
Mine got a bit more attention grabby this weekend as I stuck this on it, it's properly loud now:
