Not touching the engine, gearbox and/or ECUs till the manufacture's warranty is expired & to be perfectly honest the engine is such a peach I don't really need anymore power. Gearbox would benefit from an XHD remap for faster changes but as said not touching the ECU's or I'll loose my warranty.
Love those i30N's and test drove them a couple of times but I wanted 6 cylinders, RWD & and a bit more ride comfort.
Can't argue with that.
I'll have to wait a year before I go into something else, thankfully the i30N is the most comfortable car I've owned so I don't need to set the bar too high on that front, although I'm not a fan of leather.
Cracking picture. Didn't expect the mudflaps to make such a difference on looks with the black!
PCP was up & took advantage of the 2nd hand market. After a health battle I'm in no position to drive such a car and need to put finances to more important things. Going to miss it massively. It's such a huge package in one: Track car, GT car, B road blitzer, motorway cruiser.
Looks like you have one of the last pre-face lift cars. I'm just not sure on the face lift. The rear is a major let down I don't get why they didn't keep the colour coding. In some pics I like the front and in others I don't... maybe I'll see if a MK2 appears but with the way things are going, I sadly think it's days are numbered.
I am but, with the caveat that leathers vary a lot. Some are quite hard, always seem to be cold-ish, and are somewhat uncomfortable. Others are softer, neither too cold not too warm, and very comfortable. There can also be a big difference in price. Also, there can be big differences in wear (durability) levels, usually between cheap, and not-cheap.
Oh, and they can take a bit more caring for.
A lesson learned from PeterB about dignity in adversity, so Peter, In Memorium, "Onwards and Upwards".
The mud flaps with a 15mm wheel spacer are about perfect for these, IMO. Sets off the angles just right.
I'm not crazy about the facelift either, which was why I pulled the trigger on the pre-facelift. Especially when you look at the price of the facelift model! I have a friend who has the DCT version and I have to admit that Hyundai have polished a lot of the rough edges, but it's not worth the price increase.
Oh man, not good at all, it's a route I had to use to get to a customer in my work van so I took the car back for a photo-shoot that weekend, crept up there at about 5mph. It really isn't good at all on surfaces like that, on 19" wheels with a slither of rubber haha.
I did indeed, 3 years in the making but got there eventually, got a cracking deal on it literally just before the car market went crazy. About 3 months after I bought it, WeBuyAnyCar were offering me £6000 more than I paid.
What are you driving these days?
Still on the BMW and RR, I'm not particularly fussed about changing anytime soon, golfing is pretty much in the way. My brothers been looking at treating himself to a Hellcat at somepoint but I'll need to go to the middle east to get a shot lol.
Looking nice from the photo btw, is that the Three Forest road near Aberfoyle?
Sounds like you'll have to get some tickets booked, a Hellcat would be awesome like!
It's one of the forestry tracks between Colintraive and Ardtaraig, on the Dunoon peninsula, couldn't pin-point exactly where without just driving there. Loads of awesome places around there for photos though!
