My current steed.
Only the 4th car I've owned, but it's probably the best.
First car: Mk1.5 focus 3 door 1.6 petrol
Second car: Mk2.5 Focus ST3 (what a noise!!!)
Third car: Audi a4 1.8T B8 Avant (I bought a house, the ST had to fund some of the deposit )
I have no idea why mine is not showing up
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?
They're super marmite and you either 'get' them or don't. I've actually got a full set across the whole rear windscreen of the car now, and an aero functional front splitter with tie bars. Most people don't like the look any more, but hey ho. It's my car, it's not for other people.
Because it looks fricking awesome.
I'd have a big old GT3 style wing on the back of that though.
They were designed back in the day for coupes to keep sun out the cabin. Tint film wasn’t invented. Look at 70’s/80’s Mustangs, Jap Z’s and AE86’s etc. This is a nod to the past that’s all. Doesn’t effect aero hugely since it’s a dead zone, and those that do on the side are pretty small.
Told you they were Marmite
As for a wing, I’ve got something coming as a test but I’m not sure if it’s going to just be sold on.
I just drive a little car ( suzuki ) and this thread seem to be for people that identify with their ride, mine are just a way to get from A to B
And bare in mind as a Dane i suffer from buy 1 car pay for 2 as set forth by the idiots we vote for.
I do identify with some cars, my dream car are the Marauder as seen on Top gear,,,,,, no super / hyper cars in my future not even with a Uber lotto win.
I might buy a nice sports car with a big lotto win, and a expensive one too, but it will have to be a old one from back when they made good looking cars.
I've not been active for a long long time.. great to see the forum is still so lively!
Currently got an M3... waiting for tracks to re-open so I can take it for a blast!

Should have updated this thread a long time ago as I purchased this little beauty in April 21 (BMW M240i). Got what in hindsight, before the market went nuts, a superb deal. Basically the main dealer bought the car direct from BMW as demonstartor in Oct 2020 just before the 2nd lockdown, consequently when I purchased it 6 months later it only had 41 miles on the clock of which I put 20 on it via a couple of test drives.
Already done some mechanical & cosmetic upgrades:
Bilstein B12 supension kit (Eibach Pro springs + Bilstein B8 dampers)
PowerFlex Rear Bush inserts
BMW M Performance LSD
BMW M Performance rear diffuser
Remus backbox
Top mount strut brace
Cold air intake mod
Full M-Performance dry carbon fibre interior trim
M-Performance steering wheel
Set of winter wheels
Very nice. I've been eyeing up the new model which seems to be getting rave reviews.

The new M240i is brilliant, I test drove one a couple of weeks ago, it's even better than the current M2 I'd say unless you're tracking it on regular basis. Only trouble is the price (well over £50k once extra's are added) and the wait time, I was advised 6-8 months minimum. Also while it certainly looks better in the flesh I think I still prefer the look & shape of the previous gen.
