Hardly the tidest case, is it . Although I didn't try very hard with the cable management, but it's a little better now. Don't expect a very tidy cas.e

Re: What to do with an Antec Three Hundred

Can't argue with that as long as the side panel fits on once you have hidden all of the cables lol

Given the money spent on that though something like the Coolermaster CM-690 + a Corsair VX/TX would have been what I had gone for.

Out of interest, what CPU are you using and what cpu cooler block..?

And if you have the data, what sort of idle temperatures?

I'm interested as to what block to buy to put in my build.

Re: What to do with an Antec Three Hundred

Got a Q6600, overclocked to 3.0gHz, cooled with Scythe Ninja.

    Idle temps, about 30C.
Full load, max is about 60-65C.

Wow!! That makes mine look neat:
    ...ish

*Its hard to hide the IDE cables If I win the compo, I think I will get a SATA CD drive, and Stuff the IDE HDD at the bottom of the case. That would make it look neater

Re: What to do with an Antec Three Hundred

Unless you've already got the required tools and materials, you might end up spending upto £30 on tools and materials to mod the 300, which would make the 900 a better buy, especially since the revised modes have a better deisgn, such as cable holes and dust filters, plus it already has a window.

I started modding my 300 over a week ago, i'm only planning to do some vable holes and spray the inside black, started the cable holes already by drilling one hole and plan on doing three more, and it was a pain in the arse , gonna continue during the christmas holidays, as i dont have enough time.

    heres a pic:

I used a holesaw to drill the hole, which is probably the best method imo.

Re: What to do with an Antec Three Hundred

    Looking nice looney

personally I find IDE ribbon cable fairly easy to hide, it requires a bit of double sided tape and creative origami, it's that round IDE stuff that's a real pain.

All told cable tidying is more of an art form than a science, and don't be afraid to have to pull it all out and start again.

Thanks for the compliment even though it doesnt look much different at this time cable tidying is indeed a pain in the arse!

and about the ide cables, i personally found them annoying, there too big and hard to hide away, so i swapped my dvd drive not long ago to a sata one, sata cables are much nice.
