    You'll have to play with the timings a lot. Also you may need to put 80ohm resistors from R G and B to ground for it to detect it without using another monitor. These things take a lot of work to get right.

    The NTSC ones run at 640x480 IIRC, not 720 x 560
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    first question would be is the connection to the vga plug the same? or to the pcb of the lcd?

    I dont know if PAL and NTSC are the same wire system ..

    It's still VGA signalling as far as I know so should be the same layout. You'll have to do some googling to find out.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Steve, do you know if the VIA EPIA (mini-ITX) mobos support C-Syncing? I think they do (from what I've looked at) but nothing 100%....

    Also you guys may like this: http://tidder.rudyatek.com/tidder/lcd/

    I'll be doing this to my little EPIA setup, got a nice idea for mounting the LCD...inside this case:

    I'm hoping to install it in the top lid, so that rather than keep the case flat the way it is you place it on it's left side and look @ the screen...

    Just read through the thread with interest. I know the quality won't be as good, but can anyone see a problem with using the tv-out header on the new Asus A8N-VM board as a composite source?

    That would be fine. The easiest way would be to find some way of connecting the header to the 3.5mm av input jack on the screen. Then you wouldn't need to dismantle the screen at all if you didn't want to. The quaility won't be great but its ok for most tasks.

    I'm using mine to navigate my HTPC when the tv is off. Going to mount it in a picture frame and put it on the shelf with other photos!

    Yeah, wanted mine for the same really, seems silly to turn on the tv just to listen to some music. Was going to mod it into the case, but a picture frame is a great idea!

    I'll try to remember to post picture when it's done.

    I'm working at plucking up th courage to do the vga mod to it, but my lack of soldering skills may leave me with a dead lcd! I might stick with just using the av input...
