Well, after removing the laptop, trying to sell it then thinking I might just play around with it again I've come up with Kitchen Utensil+ Mk II

It will be smaller, sleeker & will actually hinge this time (the whole thing not just the screen)

So, here's a teaser…

I spent quite some time last night stripping the laptop down even more than it already was. Spent about 45mins trying to undo 1 screw holding in the power button which is thankfully now free.

To do:

- Get a funky power switch - might goto Maplin on my lunch
- Get some black metal mesh to cover the back. Any suggestions on where to get a big piece? I was thinking of buying an office paper tray & cutting it up.
- Get some wood for the sides to enclose the base of the laptop. Was thinking Maple as it'd look great but it's expensive, just need about a metre (approx 1.5" x 0.5") of cheap but nice looking wood!
- Hinges - Will pop to the hinge/bracket/locks/etc shop round the corner on my lunch break.
