When you guys say strum both ways on higher levels, how high are you talking?

I'm playing through medium at the moment and find I'm getting on ok by just strumming downward.

I hate to keep repeating myself but what a cracking game this is! I get such a buzz when I string together a set of tough notes.

I'm about 1/4 way through hard. Some of the solos are so fast that I had to change from the downward strum, and because the notes are so close together it does seem far easier going up and down.

I just bought a wireless guitar for the PS2 for £30 (wired was £25) in town.

I've started playing Medium again, the 4th fret is still giving me a bit of trouble but I'm starting to get the hang of it... I think!

Managed to get 4 stars on my first attempt at it too, whoo hoo!

Oh god I hated that song, but after attempting it about 20 times it I actually started to like it XD

How far are you through hard now?

I'm still stuck on Stop, it's just madness on hard. Managed to complete a couple of songs on expert though

I've only just started on hard today, I've only played 3 songs so far but managed them ok. I can see myself struggling on hard though, it really is a big step up from medium. Mind you, medium felt like a big step up from easy at the time so maybe I'll adjust as I did to that.

The Orange fret button throws me each time, definately need to practise that. I think I probably could get through all songs on hard but I don't believe I could get 5 stars on them all, that might be beyond me! I'm gonna try though.

Yeah sometimes once you get used to it, the orange fret isn't too hard, but there are some times where your hand has to press every button on the guitar very quickly, like the riff on sweet child of mine. On that song I didn't even bother with the orange button, better to leave out the occasional note than to screw up the entire song

I'm onto the third stage of Hard.

I'm trying to practice them all in quick play mode first though.

I can't see me ever being able to get 5 stars on all of them.

Yeah I've only got 5 starts on one song on hard, rest are all 3 stars with the occasional 4-star.

Thats a point, has anyone got less than 3 stars on a song before? I don't think it's actually possible, no matter how badly I play a song, so long as I finish it, I always get 3 stars

it looks very good i would get it if i had the money. Basicly just got the 360 and three games gears of war, crackdown and ghost recon advanced war fighter 2 all for just £300
