I'm loving this - I'll still get Pro Evo for the PC, but Fifa is a great package. Enjoying the 'challenge' mode - needs different modes/types of game/players. Good stuff.

Score a goal within 10 minutes with a midfielder is driving me insane. I even play as Barceleno and choose Accrington Stanley and still can't do it.

The challenge that is driving me mad is to win a game on semi pro 4-0 and you have to score in the final 10 minutes of the game

Seems quite a lot us have the FIFA 08 game - could be fun if we set up a league might need a few more people to play so if interested let me know and if its fesible I shall try and get something arranged in the next few days.

I'm up for it. I've entered the X-League tournament as well, foolishly paying £5 to enter thinking I might be in with a chance. Now I've realised I've got no chance, but it's the taking part that counts eh?

Re: FIFA 08 - Any tips?

Got the hang of this now, scoring practically every game. I'd still like to see some high scoring matches though. In my experience, it seems that most matches end 1-0, and if you go 2-0 down you're practically dead and buried (online).

Had a 4-3 the other day against one of my mates the other day. The git popped up with a gerrard screamer late in extra time.

Managed to pull a 2-0 to a 3-2 the other day as well, but that was 2 of us on one team against another mate, was very satisying as well being able to gloat at him after he ripped us when the second goal went in for him after about 15 minutes

Smile Re: FIFA 08 - Any tips?

Lol, The AI seems to cutback almost all the time when I press them with a secondary defender beating him almost every time. And then when I go in for a tackle, they cut back again! Defending against the AI is a bit to hard for the most. But other then that the game play is outstanding. Oh yeah and does anyone have tips on how to improve my chances to win headers? 90% of the time the AI beats me lol.
    Thanks.

my flat mate struggled for ages and then eventually won a penalty straight away and had a midfielder take it

Re: FIFA 08 - Any tips?

?? ive just read all of this and im shocked i couldnt win for toffee on 07 i found it fustrating that i gave up on it. i traded it in for 08 after reading the reviews on despite being a bit dubious.

but boy was i shocked, 08 is miles better, i can not only score but actually win games (sadly keep getting spanked online, just cant seem to win here yet lol) ive just won the league with Man Utd winning over 30 of the 38 and winning all the cups, even mananged a 7-0 against Arsenal.
