Homophobes On Xbox Live, not really supprised at all. why do people act like this on xbox live when most of them wouldn't carry on like asses in real life. I've come across a Gay person on xbox live and he still played the game like us heterosexual people and as soon we was playing a match you complete forget that he was gay.

Is this just people coming out of the skin when their identity is not known or just being silly fools? what do you think about this?

It's out of order... espically the pure number of comments is waaaay over the top. That said though, why would you go onto a server and call your self 'gayboy'... you know you're going to get insulted.

I don't care if people are straight, gay, bisexual or walking freak shows. I'll still play with them. To be honest though, unless you get to know them I see no reason why people need to tell you their sexual preferance when playing a game. They're just egging the idiots on, so they're just as bad as the shallow morons who insult such people.

How else could he play the game accept like everyone else? What did you think he was going to do, hang around inside a cave, trying to intice other Spartans in?

I might as well add that I've played a black person on live before, and he played like everyone else, he ran around shooting peeps. I bet even the French play like that!

3) Xbox Live is full of people like this. Rarely a game goes by on Team Slayer where you don't get a mix of racist, homophobic, sexist or just general bad language. What do you expect when most people playing are 15 year old Americans with a single figure IQ?

Did it even occur to you that this 'gayboy' who recorded the video targetted a US server because he wanted US players to insult him rather than another country? In which case you're playing into his ploy.

Even if you remove that unlikely situation, there are alot more US players than any other english speaking nation on xbox live so the chances are you will have more US people playing. Doesn't mean every American is as immature as those on that server. because everyone in the UK is a role model aren't they?

Well done, he highlighted an issue that is not actually an issue.

He obviously set his name to that to perposly get reactions from people. One of the great things about online gaming is it's (almost) completely anonymous, and if he had a normal name no-one would have known he was gay, and there would be no problem.

Baiting people for a reaction, then complaining when you get one is stupid, no-matter whether the reaction is right or wrong.

The way that some people act on Xbox live is ridiculous. In my experience, they're almost always youngsters from the US. I don't really blame them, it must be something to do with the way they've been brought up and their schooling that accounts for their overwhelming hate for anything non-American.

I've tried to have numerous sensible conversations with these people to try and find out why they're like this, but I'm gay, a n**ger, and don't brush my teeth so they don't really care for my sensible conversation.

It's the worst thing about Xbox live and it seems to be getting worse. As as result on Halo 3 I normally don't even plug my headset in now, unless I've arranged to meet with people, the abuse just winds me up far too much. If I utter one word everyone hears that I'm English and more often than not I don't hear the end of it. If it's an unranked game and they hear the accent, you might as well just leave the lobby before they kick you out.

I used to play Xbox live late at night, but now it's the worst time to play because that's just when all the US kids are on their way home ready to abuse all.

I wish some of the people that I've met over live lived down the road from me

Actually you can't choose an American server you can only choose the language which would be English. It's more dependant on what time you try and play, as not many Americans are going to be playing at 6pm GMT, as it's the middle of School/working day for them.

On this topicc though, I feel the fact that he was insulted like that should have nothing to do with the facct he chose Gayboy as his name. He should be able to express his Sexuality and not be insulted for it.
