Fable 2 'I Gots It' Thread.

Well I just ordered it, so time for a gameplay thread. As its an RPG there will be many 'where is the sword of monkey death' and 'how do I open the secret door next to the mountains of spling' stuff, so we can do it here.

Just watched the IGN video review, btw, and if you ignore all the side quest stuff, and just go through the game, you can finish it in...

Also, it apparently falls short of Mass Effect as an RPG, which is the single most boring game I've ever not-really-played. Double

Still I've always prefer Elves 'n swords over spaceships and guns, so hopefully its worth it.

The opinion I've developed after reading and watching reviews over the past few days is that dispite a short story line most people will stray from the main quest anyway, consciencely or subconsciencely.

Shall find out this weekend how true or false this statement is.

Yeah true, but it kind of hammers home how short the main game is.

Try getting from the raid on the Shinra mako station thing to fighting Sepiroth in the crater in 8 hours.

I, personally, will be exploring every nook, and almost every cranny, though.

Yeah but GTA4 you can do very quickly too right? Only doing the main missions that is.

Sub missions extend the play a lot

if you are evil i would imagine you could easily lose that amount of time murdering townsfolk and fighting off the guards. not to mention getting your co-op buddy to murder any spouses that no longer have any uses.

Oh without a doubt. Even with the orignal I only ended up completing the main story line because I'd bought every house, slept with every bachelorette and killed every shopkeeper.

Nah, its boring. IMO anyway.

I've just seen it too many times. Its one of those games I feel like I've played without playing it.

I freely admit I didn't give it anything like a fair chance though.

was wondering if anyone was gonna start a fable 2 thread on here (been getting my fix on the lionhead forums)

am not worried about the shortness of main quests as plenty to do on the side like get married have kids, involve yourself in an orgy (5gamerscore for that one)

anyone getting it go to fable2.com and do the show on there to the end and you get a prize for in game. i got three different ones the chicken suit being my favourite item.

along with the 15 items from pub games and a little cash i am well set.
