Kane & Lynch is pretty good co op, make sure you patch it though as I found the co op really buggy. Things like camera locking into position, graphics corruption and so on.

    Re: So - Co-op games - what's out there?

I got Gears of War 2 a few days ago, yet to play it on co op but apparently the main campaign on it is perfect for co op play. Well worth getting even for single player

    Re: So - Co-op games - what's out there?

Just an update to this - the missus is addicted

    We've now completed the following...

    Army of Two
    Gears of War
    Gears of War 2

We tried the following, although not so keen on these...

    Kane and Lynch
Rainbow 6 Vegas (I personally hated this one - and especially the vertical split screen, even on a 42" LCD we both struggled with the layout)

    Still to try
Ghost Recon Warfighter 2 (although doubt this will apeal as its not a story mode...)

Going to look to find Left For Dead today if its cheap anywhere and a horizontal split screen...

    Re: So - Co-op games - what's out there?

L4D is enjoyable split screen, although I found the graphics pretty poor in two player mode. Loads of fun though, especially if you know people to fill the other two character's shoes over Live

World at War split screen is horrible, offset squares rather than normal split.

Fable 2 co-op is poor too. My girlfriend loved the original and we were excited about the co-op, it doesn't really work in practice though.

    Re: So - Co-op games - what's out there?

Is Left 4 Dead LOCAL co-op?

I have just bought Crackdown and Saints Row II after being told they have co-op only to find out they do, but ONLY on Live or System Link...

Really annoying - need some new games to play but we must have local co-op

    Re: So - Co-op games - what's out there?

Get Rock Band and/or Guitar Hero World Tour

They actually are great co-op games, also a good double up for parties where everyone is sozzled
