Looks like the top of the line A8-3850 will cost a similar amount to an i3 2120.
I think it's fair to say that it is now in a position where the CPU trades blows with the intel one (slower single threaded, faster multi threaded) but its GPU is in a completely different game, let alone league.
Is there any info out there about support for socket FM1? i.e. anything about support for future processors such as Trinity.
The reason I ask is that IMHO right now the chip will be great for mid range gaming in an HTPC but a 50% speed bump will buy it another 2-3 years of mid range gaming. No discreet card, nor RAM replacement etc necessary.
