My boss was in Texas & was told they wouldn't see them this side of September, I'm sorry I don't have the shop details.
There has been info on here stating it could be 30,60 or 90 days

if thats right then it could be £240 for an 8core cpu clocked at 3.8ghz! I hope thats right or its even cheaper as that is bloody good pricing, although time will tell if bulldozer can compete clock for clock against i5/i7
edit: really silly question but what ram is bulldozer expected to use? dual channel/triple channel ddr3? i keep seeing deals pop up for ddr3 so im thinking about purchasing some now while i wait for bulldozer in a few months.
Should be dual upto 1833mhz?
The motherboards are out. Unfortunately the reviews of the 9xx chipsets seem to say they are exactly the same as the 8xx.
EDIT; Beaten by the B!!!
THe only 'real' difference is the 990's officially do SLI.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
ah yes totally forgot about the new motherboards , i will start my search for high end ram!
Thankyou .
edit: i just had a look over the new boards as theres one thing i missed, voltage for the ram, any ideas? i presume it would be low voltage stuff now which ill look for anyways.
I don't think there's much optimisation to do, maybe you'll get integrated USB3 or something but performance wise it shouldn't make much difference.
sorry to take the thread off track a bit but would you say this is good ram: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/264750
Im debating whether i should get 2000mhz ram, as BD isnt out yet i cant really tell if it would make a positive/noticeable impact, going to look how sandy bridge fairs with higher speed ram as that might help lol.

AMD demonstrates a 32 core Bulldozer server.
AMD Shows Off Working 16-Core Opteron "Interlagos".
Not really consumer level but shows some progress!
A rumour article that Bulldozer performance is a bit toilet:
http://www.brightsideofnews.com/news...rformance.aspx
Hmmm, more - in his own words - "fluff" from a malcontented AMD engineer? The story checks out with various sources... like who? If AMD lose in sysmark will they still win out in a ton of other benchmarks? And if they're half the price of Intel will it matter?
I'm going to wait for shipping silicon before I make any judgement about bulldozer, to be honest. These rumours are fantastic ways to get people talking, but they don't actually *tell* us anything...
