Opteron X gets into HP servers:

Any idea when Kabini will be available to buy at retail?
Nope. But if you use the average from AMD's previous releases then I would estimate in about a month.
They seem to get it right with their graphics card releases but somehow think that a paper release is ok for their APUs. I suspect they don't want Intel to have the limelight for too long but I find that to be a weak excuse for a paper release, I wish we weren't treated like a reed bed.
Not sure, but a few more Kabini motherboards have been spotted:

BTW,it seems Hexus and Anandtech do not have Richland reviews out yet for some reason!
Anandtech have a pipeline piece:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/7028/a...-now-available
which I can only describe as "damning praise".
"Unless you need absolutely top CPU performance, AMD’s A10 APUs have proven more than sufficient for most tasks—even high-end gaming rarely benefits from a faster CPU than an A10 until you start using two or more GPUs."
Comments section there says that the review probably won't be out until Anand gets back from Computex
its true though, with a single GPU , in real games , any of the `high end` parts are more than good enough - even dual set up it depends on the game.
Richland based Athlon II CPUs have appeared on Scan:
http://www.scan.co.uk/shop/computer-...ore-socket-fm2
The Athlon II X4 760K looks around A10-5800K level.
It seems the Phenom II X4 965BE is £66 on Ebuyer too.
Expect, the mainstream review sites to not bother looking at the Athlon II CPUs,especially their overclocking abilities.
and still no hexus review....
Yeah, it's a shame: I never saw any sort of lab test of the Trinity Athlons either. That 760k should be an awesome budget overclocker, seeing the performance of Richlands so far and taking the IGP out of the equation.
It's interesting to see the single module/dual core 370k too. Now that is truly a budget overclocker!
I still think they got these wrong.
With FM2 you get a motherboard with video connectors on it. These CPUs should have *some* video output, 64 shaders would do.
They're A8s and A10s with gimped GPUs. They say on the box that they require a discreet graphics card. The video-outs on the boards would just be mothballed.
