I know what you mean, his voice is a bit odd.. The video itself seems to be a bit padded out with fluff

Anandtech also got one of the 11th gen test laptops:

    I found this amusing:

For anyone untrained in reading Intel product names, one might easily be mistaken when comparing the previous generation Ice Lake to the new Tiger Lake parts. Suddenly the typical ‘U-Series’ 15 W processor, such as the Core i7-1065G7, was at 1.3 GHz, but is now replaced by the Core i7-1185G7, with a base frequency of 3.0 GHz. The names are so similar, and there’s only a one generation gap, so wow, that’s an amazing jump in one generation! Right? Right??

But now, there's a leap forward that should take performance to another level versus ice lake but given how poorly those CPUs performed that isn't much of a complement
They fell for the intel tricks, hook line and sinker! HC confirmed as pretty B-roll and not much else

    Re: AMD - Zen chitchat

I have heard that AMD have developed a new chipset with USB 4.0 and enhanced PCIE 4.0 support. Not sure if it's going to be AM4 or AM5 though.

Coreteks is reasonably well known, but he said in the video he replaced the surround with one from the RX5700XT,so his sources wouldn't get found out.

@CAT do you know if any existing ITX B/X boards are Zen3 certified or alluded to?

I thought the 400 series will have Zen 3 support too and probably zen 3+. Some issuse with the BIOS size and AMD mentioned something about having to remove support for Zen 1 chips to make room.

I guess we'll know for sure soon. but if the B450 doesn't have zen 3 support ill be very annoyed.

AMD has left it upto OEMs apparently. My Asus B450I Strix has a 6+1 phase VRM and a 32MB BIOS,so I won't be happy if there isn't any support for Zen3!

    Re: AMD - Zen chitchat

CB report that Renoir support for 400 series motherboards won't be released until after the Zen 3 launch:
    https://www.computerbase.de/2020-10/...z-zen-3-start/
    Google translate
Still up to the OEMs, so it does seem a bit arbitrary on AMD's part. Guess someone from their AGESA team has to provide the OEMs with support, but still.
For Renoir this is mostly theoretical as the desktop release for end users is only ever going to really happen once laptop quantities have been satisfied. By which time the Zen3 APUs might be out.
