    Cant remember an old game..

hi, was hoping someone on here will be able to help.

im trying to remember the name of a game i used top play its prob at least ten years ago.

i has a storey line quite like the matrix and is an RPG.
u r a guy called forster who enters this futuristic city controlled by robots etc
u have to get access to the main control room where u meet an old man who is the nerve centre and i think it turns out to be forsters dad.
the only other things i remember is forster gets a matrix style port in his head at one point and has a robot friend who follows him around.

it was a proper Bo game and if anyone recalls the name it would be very helpful!

I think I know the one you mean, the robot sidekick could be placed into different machines to help you get through the game, yeah?

I think it was called Beneath a Steel Sky

Ok, how about finding me an old favourite that I can d/l for free?

I actually thought of it when I saw this thread earlier, and now I can't remember it! How's that for bad memory?

Starts off by pulling up in a red sports car during a storm to some science lab and conducts a experiment that transports him to another world. Then has to fight his way through levels with green aliens or something and they all have laser guns! There was two games on the Amiga that I used to have, and I think one was the sequel to the other. I'd like both is possible!

I'll probably remember it after I post... Stoopid memory!

I had Fade to Black on the PS1, wasn't overly impressed with it after Another World and Flashback. I can't get Flashback to d/l and I certainly ain't paying $14.99 for Another World!

I'll keep looking, but cheers for The Underdogs' site.

Delphine also done a game after Flashback called Future Wars, same kinda animation and cutscenes etc but a completely different plot altogether. The control interface had drop down type menus also for various different actions.

    Ahh, The Good ol Days..
Yup I remember FlaskBack - Officially known as
Flashback: The Quest For Identity. Twas a Brill game!
I used to play FB on the "SeGa-MeGa Drive", what's a sega-mega drive
I hear you ask ? It was a relatively short lived platforme & it basically
was a small (for it's time ) sleek console that used cartredges, like the old N64, quite stylish aswell. Apparently a mint condition unit would be worth a tidy sum today. Anyway here's my offering to the thread,

This site has a nice easy to setup version of FB that
dosen't need any extra dos based 3rd part stuff to run.
The site also has such other great classics like JunkleStrike.
    http://www.flashback-aw.net/games.php?GameID=52

ps, I rather foolishly sold my old N64 ages ago.
So dose anyone know if a pc version of mariokart was
ever made ? It might of had a longer name tho,
like MarioKart double dash or sommet like that.

    Cheers, Dave.

    1) No, no nintendo titles except Mario is Missing were ever ported to PC

    2) A megadrive is worth nothing. Check your local Computer Exchange where you should be able to get one for a tenner, an N64 for about fifteen quid, and a Dreamcast for about 20. so many were made, they're not collectors' items in any way. You want to look ingo a Neo Geo AES for collectors' kit - a mint one of THOSE can go for up to 4 figures
