im a few hours into the game but had to stop to sort out my car insurance, gameplay seems really good, made a post earlier about camera angles while driving, and most cars i have come across so far dont seem to handle to great but the game itself is awesome!!!
going to finish my insurance and get back on with it. might try multiplayer later.

I'm still getting used to the control system.

Whether its just me, but the cars seem to handle like crap, all over the place, and I keep (for some unknown reason) pressing 'Y' to handbrake.... High-speed out-of-the-car jump, usually into oncoming traffic, or some hard, inanimate object. Ouch, it really does look painful for poor Nico

But makes me LOL in the office!! hehe.

The cars do seem to handle like crap, which is a bit annoying as the turismo cant corner and should be good

Got a few achievements done now too like the wheelie one and the pool hustling one,

Rang my old workplace at 11am, asked the manager if he had any in and he said one.

Told him to put my name on it and I'd be there in 10mins.

Been playing it since 11:30am non-stop so far.

Good game but I agree with the weird handling and high-speed car dives.

I Think it's actually very good, has alot more atmosphere and feeling to it then the previous versions.

The cars all have different handling and i do like it, anyone driven in heavy rain? Played online for a bit and it was crazy, driving in you car with team members jumping out and your in the middle of a gun battle.

How do the camera angles work with the driving? The major thing that put me of GTA:SA when playing with keyboard/mouse only was the way you could turn the player or car and the view lagged behind by a second or so, meaning you couldn't see where you were turning to, frequently causing me to crash. Vice City had the view locked forward.

Im loving the game so far, great fun.


Only thing I dont like so far is the whole tiliting sideways when you run and turn.


Also the car situation is very realistic are the americans canny make cars that can handle well, so the handling of the cars in the game is about right.

well atm i am having soo much trouble trying to connect to a game online.i keep getting disconnected on every mode except free roaming. strange.

anyone else having this issue?

What made me laugh is when I ploughed my car into a wall and found niko flying out through the windscreen!

What I like about this game, is even when its bad, its good. Example: very first mission, when you have to shake the loan sharks off your tail with Roman in the car, I took a corner, the car took off, and wedged itself sideways between two walls, with the loansharks firing at the car, and the car got shot up.

So, pissed off that I'd managed to go for half a mission before the game found a way of spoiling my fun, I restarted, and during the same drive to the card game, the dialogue between Roman and Niko was different, with a great joke that made me laugh.

So even when it does something wrong, it pulls it back and makes it ok.

I like those little touches.

Completely agree Stew.... I've had to restart a few missions so far (still not controlling those bloody cars properly), and every time the dialogue has been different, I can't believe how much stuff is packed onto that DVD!

One thing I loved was I found some random guy in the street, went up to him, starts a cutscene in which Nico and him basically say a big F-U at eachother, and he then proceeds to stuff $100 at Nico, just for the hell of it. Bargain

Some of my mates got it today, so I watched them play a bit of it to see if I could be bothered to get it now rather than wait until the PC version. The graphics don't look hugely improved over previous versions, but then that could be because I'm used to the PC versions rather than console's.

But the humour still seems to be there from the little I watched. I reckon even the TV could be amusing to watch for an hour! Mulitplayer looked an absolute laugh as well.

Might have a fruitless search for a copy tomorrow.
