Having so much fun with the multiplayer modes at the mo, i'me not getting too far with the storyline (just met dawyne) because as soon as i start i'll get an invite from a friend and i cant resist it.
Last night we tried Bomb Da Base mode, only 4 of us playing, we had to make our way to pick up some explosives, then we grabbed a chopper, the worst pilot out of us managed to get in the *drivers seat* and all the better for it because he was all over the place and we was all shouting obscenities at him over the headset which made it worse.
The mission was to go to a large tanker and plant the explosives, so approaching we were fired upon by lots of enemies on the boat, so as he was swaying about rotor blades chopping away at the antenna on the boat, 2 friends tried making a jump for it, 1 life lost each. The rest of us waited until he finally landed it.
Sirens were coming as a lone policeman had seen my other 2 friends shooting at the baddies on the boat (good thing is you spawn close to the action but only have 3 lives) we put away our guns and ran straight past them onto the boat, there were baddies everywhere but slowly we emptied the boat and planted the two explosives.
60 Seconds until detonation, we all legged it, me first, i was trying to find my way out but every now and then i'd turn a wrong corner and end up either running into the cooker in the kitchen or into a locker along with the rest of my friends whilst they are screaming at me "where you going?", 3 of us got out onto the carpark and the 1 remaining friend was actually blown over our heads by just making it to the deck on detanation.
Well that was just 1 mission in 1 game mode, now you understand why it's taking me so long to get through the single player storyline. The multiplayer can be so much fun and i also recommend going into the multiplayer/game options where you can set up alot more than in say party play. I set up 8 private slot so only friends could join whatever the game mode.

I know what you mean I've pretty much stopped playing singleplayer after I played a couple of missions on the 3rd island. It is extremely fun, GTA Race or Cops n Crooks would be my favourites at the moment
multiplayer is heaven and hell.
nothing worse than playing cops and crooks, being in a car with a **** driver, or being a cook and being on a team of useless crooks or a crap boss who's goes commando.
i was playing cops and crooks for the first time and had just got into a helicopter got quite high before my friend told me to press y to ave a look around
Well it was a hell of a fall i even bounced off a sky scraper
HANDS DOWN THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE BEST GHETTO MOD EVER!!
haha sweet, though is there actually anything inside...
Bloody three leaf clover mission, 5 attempts last night. They keep seeing me when i go to pay n spray.
I think this game is amazing.
At first I didn't really like it but once things start to kick off, the missions become a lot better.
the characters are really good and there are some really nice touches and funny moments.
I never been so impressed with a game as I have with GTA IV.
The city is huge and so realistic. The way people drop things when barge past them.
The way you can flag down a taxi to go anywhere.
I guess when I think about it, I bought an XBox 360 for this game.
Looking at it, I cannot imagine driving around on a PC version without touch sensitive buttons for accelerateing and stuff.
I don't believe I'll upgrade my PC for a long time now.
Second the above, I also bought a 360 for GTA IV. I was also planning on Upgrading my PC this summer but im probably going to leave it and just get a nice big new monitor
only 11% away from 100 now
I completed GTA IV a couple of hours ago.
So sweet. I's like a long scarface movie. Love it.
After 46 hours I finished the story. All in all it says I have now completed 64.25% of the game.
I guess that must be all the races and other bits.
You make some some serious choices in this game. It makes a difference too.
I wasn't happy with the ending though. Obviously there must be multiple endings.
I started again.
I think I enjoyed the missions so much I cracked on with them. I reckon I missed a load of stuff in the games internet.
Really good game
Argh i cant find the last pigeon
Yes im using a guide for them, no way am i wasting that amount of time looking for 200 pigeons over that amount of space only used a guide for that though. thing is i've gone over the list of them nearing 3 times skipping the ones that i was DEFINITELY sure i got and i cant find it... time to go through fully :/
Also anyone know what i need to do to get the full 100%? completing these pigeons will give me 2.5% on top of the 93.65 that i have now, I've done everything i think so where will the last 3.85% come from?
What do you get for whacking all the birdies?
Pretty sure the last 3.85 is the co-op missions. Could be wrong though.
Woot got the 100% finally was some friends locations i missed out
Before I played GTA IV I saw a video on Youtube.
It's the bit where you chase down that thug to that old warehouse building and he ends up getting thrown through the window to his death.
The first time I played through GTA IV, I got to this point and he didn't go through the window, I just beat him to a bloody pulp on the ground.
After he died the camera went cinematic to the window that wasn't smashed and didn't have anyone falling to there their death. I was a bit diappointed with that.
I carried on through the game anyway.
So, yesterday I restarted the game after completing the story.
I got to this part again and we started to fight. This time I disarmed him and started slicing him up. It got to the point where he only had one red blip of health left.
Since we were far away from the window, wanting my cinematic ending I stopped.
What hapened?
Well, the git got up all hunched over. I stood there and could only watch in amazement as he hobbled of to the window and jumped through it to his death.
Anyone actually punch him through the window?
