it was mentioned on the first link of this very same thread on how there is a hint that it may come out on the pc. its obviously not going to come out on the 360 though. PC is the only other format it can come out that is not a main rival to the ps3 console seeing as its a PC platform, not a console platform.

the only other platform it can come out on, is the wii

I do hope that its an early December release (its my birthday) but until Sony/Polyphony make an official announcement, i still say BS.
agreed. i believe it when i see it inside of my ps3 or PC in christmas time.

Also: read my comment above your quote on how releasing it on a PC wont do much damage if any as its not a rival console

I agree, it probably won't do much, if any damage to Sony. If fact it would probably add more as it would be open to mods, its this reason that i feel Sony will want to keep it on their platforms and control the user content.

Anyway it would feel strange not playing this in the living room with a Dual Shock in hand!

this, also that it will be a biiiig bread bin shifter. no-one is going to pick up a ps3 for it if they can play it on the pc, while lots (me) will get one if its the only way

i still dont see any mention of pc, what i see "other format?.... hmm.... pc?" no, its psp, thats the other format, the translation probably hasnt helped as im sure it has somewhere along the line, but mainly its the drooling gaming media

Yup, it's PSP - I've heard it mentioned before in the past, when they were trying to explain where the hell that version vanished too...they were trying to reassure it had not vanished, but had been put on the back burner... it would come soon after GT5, and have some ties to it.

The point he was making was: Say I already have a gaming PC, they release GT5 and I really want to play it, but it's not released for PC, so I go buy a PS3 and play. In the same situation but where it is released for PC, Sony loose out on a PS3 sale.

Although, that's probably a pretty rare situation tbh.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

Madduck: It would of effected sales of teh 360 as well so dont just say the ps3 as cod4 is a multiplat game mate that sold millions on both consoles

I'm talking about what most people play games on, as per your quote:

most people play games on a console mate
    - which is wrong - most people play games on a PC.

As for 'today's' games, yes, most people are playing 'today's' games (well, not the ones that only came out today, because that's not very many) on their PCs.

As for 'today's' games, yes, most people are playing 'today's' games (well, not the ones that only came out today, because that's not very many) on their PCs.
send me a link to some stats please because i dont believe that more people have "gaming" pc's then consoles.

this is a first for me and still doesnt explain why cod4 WASNT effected by sales of pc version. i HIGHLY doubt that the average joe games on a pc(for recent games not old ones) rather then a 360/PS3.
