its not a massive game, but its nice to see at that least it doesnt end short which is what most fps's have been doing recently.

If you get a customer, or an employee, who thinks he's Charles Bronson, take the butt of your gun and smash their nose in.
Those who have completed it... do you think you will bother doing it again? any replayability?
Not really sure what all the fuss is about. Haven't seen the full game, but after having played both demos I would say that its very average.
Aside from the dodgy shading, which I understand is fixed in the full game, the graphics are superb, yes, but the AI is decidedly dodgy. One minute you alert some bad guys, then you hide and the threatometer thing does down to nothing and the next minute there's a bad guy running over the top of you whilst the threatometer is still at zero?!
The bad guys don't seem to have any strategy except run around in circles and shout random phrases! When they spy you they just seem to run in your general direction then run round in circles like wind up toys?!
Compare this to the AI in Hitman 2 which has been about for a couple of years..
cheers,
dave
I'm about half way through it now ... its great. The graphics are good, things like the flashbang and smoke grens really add to it. Bunker is almost Half Life 2 feeling, Research is like DOOM 3 with all those monsters etc.
Good fun, don't think I'll be finishing it anytime soon though.

THANK YOU Wilkied! I thought i was the only survivor on the planet!
steve - sadly no i wouldnt play it again, or maybe i might on realistic if its a real challenge, but its pretty linear stuff, all your goin to miss first time round is some bad guys and some unexplored/irrelivant land.

wilkied, i seriously thought it was just me that didnt find this game amazing non-graphics wise from what the demo provided. also, for some reason i just find it bewilderingly hard to aim, but that's probably because i'm more used to arcadey style shooters like battlefields.
Bought it today, installed it, haven't started yet, too tired/sozzled right now. We shall see. I liked the demo, so I'll probably like the full blown game.
Is it worth applying the patch? I've d/l it, just wondering.
It's a shame the story is so similar to Half Life IMHO. Other than that it is very, very good. The AI is pretty good. The game plays pretty well on my laptop as well (2Ghz + Geforce 440 Go @1024x768 but without much of the eye candy). Was worried that it would be dog slow, based on some of the reviews I have read, but it runs along quite happily.
It is pretty impressive, but I do have to echo the sentiments of a couple of threads in Gaming Chat - it IS just another FPS at the end of the day...

Im actually thinking this Crytek engine may have Carmack sweating a little (not much mind ) tis incredible, especially the water effects. Im between bunker and steam LOL i thought i was a decent way thru Enjoying it mucho so far - is very much a mix between a lot of previous games but not so much you will think its a rip off.
I dont like sig pics so i turn off sigs Which doesnt help when i dont know what ive written here! DOH!
Not played much of it yet but I think it's bloody awesome. Can't wait to see some of the mods that are gonna come out using this engine.
Just downloading the patch, then I might give the MP a try and see what thats like.

Once you have seen it you will never be the same

Yeah mods should be good.Originally Posted by Trash Man
The engine is quite dynamic - not suprised, I have an early test beta of the engine (just some jungle rolling demo) from over 3 years ago (it was designed to show off the GeForce3 )

Is this the patch that adds the quick load/save options and fixes the graphic bugs?
