Far Cry best FPS ever? (Contains Spoilers)

Someone please tell me how todo the chopper scene with Crow?

I must have attempted it 10+ times already - ive jumped out the boat, stayed on the boat, gone to the front, gone inside, hit the chopper 6 times with rockets and STILL he hasnt died, or i drown in a hail of bullets usually.

What's the trick?

Right before the end; after you detonate the last explosive on the frigate to disable the last antenna - crow (??) appears in a helicopter with a minigun and starts lettin it rip whilst the boat sinks around you.

I know the trick to this one.

Blow the ship, go back to the side u blew and stand on the platform ontop of the bridge (the one that holds the large mast) up here u wont enter the water it doesnt go below water lvl. So u can stand here all day and empty every bullet u have into him using the large mast as ur cover. theres rockets in the bridge for anyone who didnt know.

EDIT: This took me about 2hrs of retrys to do so dont fault my method if u dont get it first time, practically every rocket u have has to hit the heli, it took me 10 rockets to bring it down.

I managed to pick this up 2nd hand already for £18 (DVD version) I have to run everything on medium detail which is a bit of a git as on the demo I could run some of the options on high.

System :

Athlon XP 2500+ (Barton)
Radeon 9600 Pro (Catalyst 4.3)
512 Crucial PC 2700 ram (33 Mhz)

My system runs everything else in 1024x768 without any problems with all detail settings up on maximum. This one is a bit of a hog really. Thinking on getting a 9800 XT or Pro and another 512 ram to play this.

Mind you with everything set on medium it still looks damned amazing.

Yay, my copy finally dropped through the door about an hour ago , only been playin for about half an hour, lookin good. Just downloadin the patch now then gonna go check the multiplayer out and see if thats upto scratch

mp is good but dont play the mp and get put off the sp, as imho the sp is better

FarCry dropped onto my doorstep today (FINALLY!!)

Installed it (with crappy bollocks PIO DVDROM drive) and fired it up. Holy mother of holy God... I never thought it would be possible for graphics in a game (and the cut-scenes) to be so stunningly fantastic!!

Wow. This game is going to OWN.

I will play it properly later on today!

Yea, there's only 1 way todo it:

1: plant the bomb then WALK to the front of the ship (not the extreme front, just before the steps)
2: run down the left and up the stairs to the roof (the roof is the only place thatll not get flooded)
3: just basically hide round the central mast and poke your nose out to shoot keeping the mask between you and the chopper.

Wait till volcano - it gets more challenging :S

EDIT: just finished it, phew! Nice challenging FPS game for a change now onto splinter cell
