I'm up to the research level (the second demo level) and it's a lot harder than the demo was... I shouldn't be getting killed, but each time I try and go for the tunnel, no matter how stealthy or Rambo-esque I am, I always get killed

Oh well, the game is still fantastic, nice and challenging. I'll do it in time

I take the long way round and swim accross the bay, then walk into the tunnel perfect. Then rush up to the keycard gunsblazing and run back. Hate that level

    Now finished

Last two levels are very, very hard. "Volcano" is harder on you system too (had to turn down the detail a bit to get a playable framerate).

The helicopter takes 7 or 8 rockets IIRC
Now go away before I taunt you a second time.

I just got past the level where you collect the dead scientist's keycard.

I enjoyed that so much... It was such a rush trying to get around without a bloody great monster jumping on my back and killing me!!

Just saw this on my brothers pc, installed it on mine and it has bloody good graphics, fraps, however decided not to take the screenshot, which i wanted to post on here.
My brother isnt going to let me play on line with his though so im going to buy myself a copy, wheres the cheapest/and how good is the online multiplayer (we have played against each over on lan already).
Ill try get another screenshot. How big is the single player game too? ive just escaped from the big ship in the rubber dingy after shooting down helecopter and jumping into water..

Im annoyed I cant take screenshots, this looks bloody good on my gfx with everything maxed, still get a nice fps too. For anyone here with only 512mb ram definatly get yourself some more, this game NEEDS it. I had to give my brothers pc another stick but it was pc2700 mem so he had to lower his fsb but still is a lot faster and no longer stutters every time somehting happens.

Im upto the bit where you meet the person helping you at the peir, the next part is bloody difficult, my brother just swam past everyone but im trying to kill them all

I can image the multiplayer being v good, whats it like if anyones tryed? When my cd arrives we shall have to have a hexus-farcry tournament of some kind....
btw this is definatly the best fps ive ever played and hopefully the multi will be good enough for me to uninstall steam

The engine in the game is also amazing. the physics is relistic enough for everything, hopefully well see some boat/car/plane/helicoper racing/fighting mods. I dont know how doom3 is going to be better than this, but I hope it is, becuase then it will have to be bloody good. HL2 can foad for all I care they shouldnt have made us wait so long.

Funnyest bit so far was where you first use the handglider (after killing people pushing barrels down the hill ), I still had rocket launcher and managed to hit the heli when it got close then i shot the ppl in the boat and landed in it. Luckly I have avioded most of the spoilers in this thread

granted its a good game but sometimes the AI supprises me. One minute they ar stealthy as hell then the next they are running into walls and generally acting like fools. Still worth having in your collection. Although Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes has been released, got it for the cube yesterday and lets say Far Cry has been relegated to the play 8 months down the line pile

Thankyou Howard, will take lots of screenshots now. heres one I took earlyer (without relising that f12 did that, just found it in the game folder after reading your post).

Compression is whatever far cry uses + 15% loss from psp7

I was going to embed the pic in this post, but then 56k'ers might try to kill me, and Ive got enough monster things in farcry trying to do that, so linky

Note how the light swings in the steam, and the grill of the light makes moving shadow in the steam!

Im on the bunker level and atm too scared to play it!!! well need a break for the moment anyway...

Those who said this is a crap/average game, well the singleplayer is better than any ive ever played. Infact im thinking this is just what I expected doom3 to be like
Multiplayer is what will make this game the best, hopefully its good I cant play it yet..

Single player is the best I've played in years. Possibly ever.

Nice screeenshot SilentDeath. The graphics technology in this game really is fantastic. Finally making use of some of the power of the latest cards!

Funny thing happened when I was playing earlyer. I hate the monster things they are too scary when they jump out and kill you in one hit! Shotgun/car /grenade seems to be the best way to kill them.

I was in a vent and I knew there was one ahead - I died a bit past that before. I threw a nade but the thing had already jumped at me so I shot at it the nade exploded and it went relly really far past me I turned around and kept shooting for about a min but i think the grenade killed it!
