Yea, i hoped that when you can shot the death ray at Earth, you would do damage to the Wasteland... but no...

I wanted a massively irradiated crater....

When you first start Fallout 3 you will need to sign into Live on or offline for the DLC to load.

Also, you will find that in your Fallout 3 save folder that Live has added a new folder under your Gamertag name. You need to copy your old game saves into this new folder.

I am not sure how the retail DLC packs work. Maybe they do not require Live.

Load up a save game and you should get a message about a new quest in a minute or so.

After Fallout 3 loads you get to the title screen where you can choose to start a new game or continue. Also on that menu is LIVE. Choose that to log in on or offline. After logging in you should see a sign behind the live tab saying something like CONTENT LOADING.

Also you should see level 30 perks greyed out on the Perks list when you level up.

    Re: Fallout 3 Mothership Zeta

So I restarted Fallout 3 again. I got up to level 25 again and just finnished Mothership Zeta. This is the third time I have completed Zeta. I did mention 1 bug before. But this time around I did not get this bug. And meant I got to see things that the bug prevented me seeing before.

And so before completing Zeta I noticed a second bug. For those of you who played this did I miss anything?

    Spoiler:

The first bug was after the space walk. You into the upper section of the ship and activate the portal to let the other captives up. At this point Sally has to open 2 doors ahead. This is where I found sometimes she does not open the first door she just walked into the wall.

After the first door she always failed to open the second. All the capatives simply walked into the wall and I had to open the second door via console. Then the captives would run through the door and through a teleport.

But this time the bug did not happen. So instead of walking into the wall all the captives stand at the glass floor and talk about the view of Earth. Then a hologram of an Aliens head comes up and starts shouting. Then the aliens fire the Death Ray to give you a demonstration. Then your HUD indicates a quest objective is to destroy the death ray.

Next Sally opens the second door and the captives run up to the the Portal. But this time Sally says it is locked and you will have to unlock for them. So they wait there while you go through the weapons lab.

So eventually you come to the three portals. One for the Death Ray, one for the the area where your captives friends were left waiting and the other for the bridge that powered down.

Thing is, instead of pushing the switch so you can let all the captives up, they have already let themselves up. Also, my quest objective list has already ticked off destroy the death ray. Even though I have yet to do it.

    What have I missed now?

Hmmm... I don't know Casey, that didn't happen to me.

One thing, the first time i played through Zeta, i remember going in an elevator that kept breaking down. Second time i didn't... How do i do that? And can i go back to it after completing Zeta?
