I went with a standard loadout of sniper rifle for long range thinning of foes whilst skulking about in the bushes, jackhammer shotgun, double tap to the forehead at close range kills all known trigens (well most)....dead, OICW for general combat and left the 4th slot for whatever I thought would work well in that level. Flashbangs for tossing into rooms then following up with a turkey shoot of blinded enemies.

A general tactic of hiding and shooting from bushes or leaning round corners to pick off the opposition. With lots of relocating as they closed in on me after dropping one of their buddies. Preferably using the terrain to funnel them into killzones if possible, tends not to work too well with trigens outside though. Get them with headshots as far away as possible. Cryvision goggles are good for picking them out at distance. Much use of the binoculars to locate hidden targets.

Played it through on moderate level which was pretty good.

Nice to know it doesn't get much harder because i'm finding the first few levels hard enough.

Good pointer on the lying prone, thanks.

Its much easier playing through the second time also. Its just a case of learning how to play the game well- take it slowly and the sniper rifle is your best bud the whole way through.

Currently on the Steam level, damn its bloody hard. Even the 1st objective to get the night vision goggles is a task in its own right. Alert them of you're presence and lie prone in the long grass and take the guys out as they come to you, but then the major git on this bit is the guy on the side of the hill with a mounted turret. Must have took me around a dozen attempts to clear this bit. Just made it to the facility where you have to turn the steam off to get further in.

One thing I am really chuffed about is that I have been having to run this on Medium detail. Yesterday I put in another 512 ram and I can now run it in high detail with AA on low on a Radeon 9600 Pro, Barton XP 2500+ and the gig or ram.

Such as excellent game. I'm on the Control level at the corridor full of trigen bit - damn hard! But very good fun.

Just started rebellion, played it for abt 15 mins & finding it tough (on Veteran level). No rockets left in the launcher & trying to avoid the big dudes with the rocket launcher arm.

Still, it's such a damned good game, absolute joy to play!

The jumping things respond well () to headshots with the AG assault rifle. I think the trick with the regulator level is not to try and kill everyone. Get a truck or a lorry and run over trigens etc and when it gets too hot bail out and scamper through the trees etc.

Well there wasnt much else I could do because i was almost out of ammo .

Just completed it... that last level took me about 7 goes. In the end I jus hid between the two doors and snipered the jumpy trigens and waited for the big ones to come to me and then shot the crap outta them.

Need a new game now, theres not much out..
