Limbo on PS3. I am bit late to the party but yes, amazing game!
Ive barely played a thing in 2 yrs but that stood out for me..
TBH Im so jaded with seeing the same stuff ( even good same stuff ) im not really interested in gaming at all..
Just nothing at all revolutionary and graphics seems stuck or like diablo 3 getting even worse.
A game like Dishonored for example is right up my boulevard, but looking at it I just see a game that look like any other so it actually puts me off of it because no matter how good , it doesnt look any better than something like resident evil 4 which was yrs ago..
Or maybe Im just too old ?
First time in long time I felt this way , not since I had Amiga in 90 and consoles were just getting big like snes in 91..
I didnt buy another PC till 96

PC - Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition
PS3 - FIFA 13
I shall also be starting Mass Effect 3 this weekend - I've been saving it all this time.
I've been getting stuff on GOG.com not a great deal as I've still got the originals of many of those games, still gog is a great source for older games.
Xmass sale now on btw
I've just picked up Roller coaster tycoon 3 and dungeon keeper2 (as I lost my one, still got number1 though)

rarely, because I still have most of them
I didn't buy a lot of games and if they where any good I hung on to them.
I've got a lot of cd's and even a few floppies in a cupboard.
The only one I've got really niffed about is rebuying x-com apocalypse, I've still got my original cd but it just doesn't work on anything now it last worked under 2k but not xp or 7 (before someone asks, yes tried compatibility mode, no use) it was less hassle to pay 99p (at the time) for it on steam.
just want to be clear x-com apocalypse & DK2 are the only ones I've rebought, my others still work eg original my xcom floppies, or I've not bothered to replay them to find out if the don't work
as to getting bored of old games, No, why would I? many of them are better than most new games, they might not look as fancy as new games esp 3d games, (a lot of the pixel based games still give the current crop a run for their money only failling to hold up at resoluton)
Why play dm2 again? well because there's not been a game of that type half as good since.
At the same time I'm not nearly playing half as much as I used too.

Older games are definitely much better, their single campaigns are much thorough and fun to play. I have Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 and in all fairness I could have hours more fun on that than anything new today.
My older games I loved were Populous and Warzone 2100. I also enjoy some old PS2 games that we still play in the house, Timesplitters Future Perfect, Driven to Destruction, Toca Racing
At the moment I am into ARMA II and Assassins Creed , quite new games but I like in-depth things that can last ages
I have quite a few games on GOG now, one thing I REALLY like about their service is the pre configured DosBox games, saves you having to mess about with it. Only thing I have had to do is change controls on the games which is easy enough to do as it has full menu to do it.
One of my all time favorites and the first game I ever bought on GOG is Giants Citizen Kabuto, I also picked up Redneck Rampage and Sacrifice in the same transaction.
Shadow Warrior was released a few weeks back which was an insta buy for me.
I feel revisiting some of the older games is worthy of anyone of any age group. I feel with some of the games (Giants & Sacrifice especially) I appreciate them more now than what I did 10 years ago or longer. There are a few games I have bought there and got to thinking I used to actually like this so its rose tinted vision and I can't get into them now, thankfully that tends to be a minority with my purchases.
I have also discovered a fair few games myself, stuff like Lionheart Legacy of the Crusader. I had never heard of it with Baldurs Gate and Planescape getting so much attention at the time. This game had passed me by even though Black Isle (Wizards of the Coast / Bioware) were one of my favorite developers at the time.
Some games though are instant classics and loved to this day, stuff like Icewind Dale 1 & 2 for example, depending on your party it can play in a different way. This gives great replay value, the setting draws me in and the story is decent.
Yep, I know what you mean , it bit like with me and music and discovering related stuff side projects I never heard of at the time..
Maybe its just me , but i miss the grainy , aesthetics from some old games , that make it feel more real .
This is why the indie stuff interests me a lot more ,as it had a certain charm homemade value you used to see in a lot of innovative stuff.
For me its all about those moments or feeling your on the edge .
I saw that game Lionheart Legacy of the Crusader BTW , forgot all about it too , till now.

dead island, borderlands 2, on steam dead island till my motherboard went on me so while on wifes itx board only borderlands 2
Not played anything really since going for the 1000G on Resident Evil 6, couldn't be bothered grinding for points.
If we make it through the rapture tomorrow I hope to do some serious gaming in January.
I have a back log of games a few shelves long. A combination of consistently buying too much in the sales (on Steam or Amazon) the last few years and not enough time for games! Cleared some of it during my year out (Worked half of it, gamed the other half - best year ever?) but my god, there's still so much to play... And you've gotta play them all, right?
But anyway... Currently playing Assassin's Creed 2 (and hope to finish it this week) Great game - much better than the first. Less repetitive missions. More engaging assassination presentation - I love the videos that give you a (sort-of-historically accurate) account of the lives you are about to take! Towards the end of AC 1, I was getting a bit bored but the same isn't true of AC2. I feel perhaps though that the overall story could be presented better. Though I get that much of it is supposed to revolve around Ezio's desire for revenge, I feel that one of the great things in AC1 was the mystery side of it - what exactly were these Templars that your assassinating up to? What's their grand plan behind their individual schemes? That doesn't seem to be so clearly presented in AC2. Perhaps though that's more because I've experienced it across two or more months and often can't remember what happened the last time I played!
I hope to start The Witcher 2 next. Played a little of it this time last year.. got distracted by Skyrim... Then the rest of the year happened... As I should have more consistent free time the next few weeks, I won't be forgetting the story as much!
Also play CS:GO with my friends some evenings. I ranked up a level on the competitive ranking last night - I was so pleased with myself. I'm now one down from the top of... the lowest bracket!
Can't tear me away from Binding of Isaac at the moment
