I'm just dipping in and out of a few ps1/ps2/dreamcast retro titles at the moment. Recently got back in to Team Fortress 2 as well, what a time killer that is.

I've been playing Dishonored , and glad I stuck with it now as I'm quite enjoying it - even if the Bloom effect in it still drives me nuts , the level construction and variety In environments is starting to remind me a lot more of HL2.
As for MMOS , not sure .. Both GUILD WAR 2 and Secret World are still P2P and ( as far as I know ) offer no trials ,so I'm not holding my breath for one either , as both seem to come to down to the same old flaws every other MMO does and prob won't have much long term appeal .
Are MMOs dead ?
Yeah I'd largley say so- unless you are grinding monkey.
Its been 3 yrs or so since I last played one , and I dont see anything to suggest otherwise...

Medal of Honor SP campaign (from the latest Humble Bundle). It's very short (less than 4hrs), it's very scripted and it's very crap. Still, it was a four hour diversion for very little money.
Also tried Mirror's Edge (again from the HB), as I never really fancied it at launch. Not really my thing - maybe it's designed for an xbox controller, because I found the control system pretty unintuitive via KB and mouse.
Just played through Tomb Raider again, and found a lot more this time round. Still a great game, despite the abundance of QTEs and cutscenes.
Been playing Sacred Citadel on the PS3. Great local co-op retro fun with the family and was only a fiver.
Its keeping me going until the main event.... Dragons's Crown is released in EU in October. Looks amazing.....
I've been playing Bioshock Infinity. I'm very near the end and think its a great game. I just hope it's got a good ending

I could see why you could find it a bit of a slog in the beginning, but it did get better a few hours in. But sometimes games just don't click with people, if you're not loving it after a couple of hours I wouldn't bother.
There's been lots of highly recommended games, that I just can't get in to. If I don't like after a couple of hours I don't bother.
I might try Tomb Raider next

Started another Classic Ironman playthrough of XCOM last night, lasted about 2 hours before rage quit

I was playing Retrograde on the C64 last night, got my guy up to 9 lives at the end of level 2, he took off after placing the third Planet Buster and then when it started loading the level 2 boss from tape it crashed.........the joys of tape loading!!!!
Needless to say, it took just over an hour to get there so decided to call it a night as couldn't be chewed to start over!
I just finished the PC version a couple of nights ago. Thoroughly enjoyed it, it made a refreshing change from my usual diet of FPS/RPG's and simulations. It's a bit slow at the beginning but some of the puzzles and climbing/acrobatic stuff as you progress through the game are brilliant
Edit - I should also add it looks good too. It's the first game that's made me realise my GTX480 is actually a 3 year old card.
