Yeah, Grim Fandango is an absolute classic in every respect, sound art and story are absolutely fantastic.
I had the A4 sized boxed version from when it was released, when we moved last though the movers dropped something or crushed (cant decide) the box it was in and the box and discs got damaged. I picked up a Lucasarts classics version from eBay for a fiver. Its one of those games that every few year I play through again for the fantastic story.
Since Friday last week though, everything else has been put to one side as I am addicted to Deus Ex Human Revolution, clocked up 23 hours of play so far on it and loving every minute.
Finished off Crysis 2 and Torchlight, still around 45 hours into Mass Effect.
Currently working my my way through Red Faction Guerrilla and then it's onto Red Faction Armageddon.
Then I'm thinking L.A Noire, Sniper Ghost Warrior and anything else that takes my eye from the constantly growing pile of shame.
My first ever purchase from steam, DeathSpank
It's great fun and I'm sure it's voice acted by the same man who did the Tick cartoon

I've been playing LFD 2 with my brother (co-op) and a bit of Portal 2! Chapter 7, I'm near the end I think.
I'm playing Arma2 CO atm. Really enjoying it too, a nice change from the hackers and sniperfest that is BFBC2.
Now playing Morrowind.. with the sound and graphics overhaul mod set. It took nearly an hour to download and work through the detailed (and well documented) install process + patch up.. but it was very VERY worth it. Version 2 will have a much nicer installer!
It now looks better than Oblivion by some way.

Ooo that looks good.
I might have to dig it out again.
found a let's play series on you tube using that mod, it's nice, the scenery looks a lot better, but high res textures don't make up for some still shonky lighting and the low poly npc models which actually put me off the original.

I'm currently playing through Deus Ex: HR and AC: Brotherhood.. And Dead Island and a few others are just around the corner.. Not enough time.
I've just finished DXHR tonight, simply EPIC. Really good ending also, well worth every penny paid, definately sitting in place to be my GOTY presently. Going to play the last section again and this time talk to Sarif and Taggart each time to see the other 2 endings to get the Steam achievement for it. Didnt realise or register, normally you get the blue markers but you dont on the last level, you have to explore and find them yourself. Only missed 1 other mission and that was Cloak & Dagger, you have to do it when you first head out into Detroit, its not available on your return visit.
Chucked the origional Deus Ex on for a little while after finishing HR. Yeah its really dated now, still a decent game in its own right. Must admit I actually prefer the new one though. Started playing through Invisible War again also. Its not as bad as everyone makes it out to be, good game in its own right, at the time it was more geared towards the first Xbox more than the PC. Think that and the smaller maps which was a limitation of Xbox got it the average reviews, moreso on PC as the first game was so free roaming and thats what we all expected.
So now I think its about time that I finished The Witcher 2, Arcania and a list as long as my arm (darned Steam sales!! ) Not forgetting all the console stuff I have to get through, granted not as much but still have Shadows of the Damned, AC Brotherhood (not enjoying it as much as AC2), Demons Souls (good in small doses its so tough) and a few others I have to finish. Time for a serious catch up!

Staying up late one night (worked back shift at the time so finished about 1 am) :
You have been awarded a tip for your nocturnal fortitude......Go to bed
This is a lot more than just high-res textures, as you can tell. Lighting in particular is excellent - combined with vastly improved scenery (especially distant scenery) and some *subtle* depth of field effects and it gives some shooters a run for their money (more than, given it's free ) NPC textures, bodies and faces are much better as well.. however animations are still dire.
I am sucker for games that have distinctive art styles to them.. not graphic quality ( although it helps )
never even played the first deusex , i dunno it just looks like another FPS shooter to me ..
I always wanted to play alan wake but i cant handle console controls as ive written about .. so thats out..
Another game I always wanted to play on console was kingdom of hearts purely because of halloween town
