It's worth buying, IMO, especially when it's only £18 on Play.

The single player campaign is a bit short (and easy on the default difficulty setting) but multiplayer and skirmish is a total blast.

I binned using the rhinos as they seemed a bit slow at getting the troops out and I lost my force commanders squad when his rhino got trashed with him still in it. After I had instructed it to offload them

A couple or 3 whirlwinds for indirect fire comes in handy. For example, useful for breaking up attacks against the imperial guard as they are materializing by just setting the whirlwinds up and leaving them throwing defensive fire onto the ork approach on the 2nd ork/eldar level (can't remember the name of it).

???? Seer council? Howling banshees? Farseer? Avatar Ok, some are a little low on morale, but if you use them effectively the Eldar can be awesome HtH. You just have to use the right troops, because they're very much about specialist units.

assault SMs do 38-47 damage. banshees only do 33-46 damage. it just strikes me atm that it seems abit low. there units have high hth compaired to other eldar units but just seem equal or even avarge to other races and its not as if they have the hp. i'm prob saying this as i just havnt played enough with them yet but if i was facing SM's id be getting the reapers out asap not banshees...

Yeh Banshees should be higher really as they are supposed to be HTH specialists, they just get slaughtered vs orks or SMs though. Best to stick with using the Farseer and Seer council for fighting enemy up close then mowing them down with the others at range. Until you get an Avatar of course

Just finished the 'Sacrifice' level. The Eldar are hard enough thanks. Especially when they try to overwhelm you from range. Which is what they are very good at.

I found that Terminaters are tough enough as a squad was produced in the middle of a swarm of Eldar overrunning my first base on this level and I managed to extract them even though they were seriously in the thick of it. Assault marines with melta bombs are an effective way of dealing with Eldar grav tanks. Else these things just sit back and cut you apart.

Now about to pit my space marines against the forces of chaos. So far so good. 2 squads of terminators have just chewed through a mob of chaos infantry. But I'm still to meet up with their heavy infantry.

I do like the orbital bombardment

    Wasa good grin though

Maybe do us as a team against enemy not teamed up tonight. Do like Orks although think they should have a lower upgrade cost.
