Hopefully they'll bring out a patch in a bit that addresses some of the bugs.
I had a game this afternoon; skirmish against orks and space marines. It went on for FOUR HOURS

Heh, i LOVE this game, just played a 2vs2vs2vs ME skirmish against the computer on Hard difficulty and won, took 2hrs 45 mins, and damn it was tough, getting rushed mid game against my defenses by 2 huge chaos artillery thingys, 2 lots of *12 raptors, chaos champion and lord, along with some silly number of dreadnoughts and marines from the other computer.
My 2 predators, 3 dreadnoughts, 4 packs of marines, and some 8 heavy bolter and 4 missile turrets took one hell of a beating, but i managed to survive and i mananged to rebuild faster than them, with the remaining units taking it to them
Soooo much of this is strategy based now, make sure you keep and hold objectives.
Best ever tactical game imo!!.

I saw a patch on gamespot this morning but it doesn't look as if it's going to address these issues yet

Had a quick play yesterday, just the tutorial against an Ork CPU player...
Liking it so far, few little bits that I have picked up on so far..
Squads of 4, 5 would of been nice..
1 Librarian, Hmmm, would of prefered more even tho I didnt use him I just built him so the sake of it..
Not too keen on the control with the mouse, I imagine lots of people are used to draggin around the map with the right button...
Rhino's, no weapons, pretty sure they had a bolter or 2 on the top, nothing heavy just normal marine stuff...
Blood Ravens, who? lol....
Like it so far tho, like I say havent really had a go yet just the skirmish tutorial...

I got this yesterday and installed it after work....problem is I don't remember doing anything else - I have no recollection of going to bed or performing any other normal functions...

Nice to see my Space Wolves are in there, Trig you're right the Rhino had 2 heavy bolters on top, (I made one)
My graphics settings were set quite low to start with by default, a couple of tweaks and its looking superb now. Very much 'command and conquer' this game - which is a good thing imo, I didn't have too much of a problem moving troops around I tended to use the cursor keys in combination with the mouse, seemed to work pretty well using the traditional Command and Conquer expanding box system.
And the intro movie IS the greatest game intro ever, officially, I was almost cheering as that Blood Angel Commander charged up to the requisition point and planted that banner - amazing.
Best bloody game I've played for a long long while - superb.
I'll get some sleep at some point....
