Can I just say, is there an RTS that whenever relic put their name to it, that isn't a hit, look at the homeworld series. This doesn't disappoint at all. Great game, I know about the sleep thing to lol every morning late for work as i was up till 2 - 3am playing the missions. A tip for ork players, build healers and lots of them, attach them to random squads and move those squads as one, the healers keep your men alive until the healers die, you can get an extra 3 4 waves of attacks out your orks

LOL, no I didn't pre-order, I ordered it Friday. Quite slow for Play though!

If you pre-ordered it and didn't receive it on the day of it's release (last Friday) I would call them up coz sometimes, Play orders can go walk-abouts.

The banshees do need boosting a little, I have to say I dont use them that much. That said, they have a bigger squad size than ASMs, IIRC. And the seer council...come on....15 of them...

The space marine squad cap is a bit of a pain. Especially as terminators take up 4 units per squad I s'pose it's to reflect that the space marines are always outnumbered. Still, a single terminator squad with 2 autocannons and the force commander or inquisitor attached makes a pretty potent unit. Almost makes up for the cost of them

Best thing with terminators is being able to use them when you need them....
I'm on to playing 2 vs 1 computers pretty much all the time now, 7 computers and me free for all on insane was beaten twice last night, so its now time to see how good they are against me directly. (admittedly on hard difficulty)

I managed it once out of 3 attempts last night. Got owned against 2 eldar computers tho, managed to hold out early section, but then they rushed me with about 8 support platforms and some squads of seer council which flipping hurt.

This game does really really own i love it

the best thing with u can do with termies is to have acouple squads of em and use apoth's in them aswell as ur FC etc. and then deep strike the lot into battle behind the enemy it takes a fair whack to kill em then and u can keep them outa the fight till they can really be used. If u have the reasorces as well u should be able to send a dread or 2 in at the same time as the terms

I tend to use my termies as my spearhead troops fitted out with 2 autocannon and the FC. Back them up with a dreadnaught or 2 ideally one fitted with lascannon for long range and counter armour and one for close up work with an autocannon. Support is in the form of a squad of assault marines equipped with melta bombs for anti armour and and a squad of space marines with 2 heavy bolters and 2 rocket launchers, not to mention frag granades. Heavy opposition gets an orbital strike as a how do you do and if I have to commit the space marines then they lead off with frags. Any psychic weapons from the librarian/inquisitor get thrown into the mix if he's in the vicinity though I tend to use him to lead up a secondary force once I've got that far into the game.

You probably notice I'm into early and overwhelming concentration of firepower to get the party going I build up my vehicles to the cap as fast as I can and then overpopulate so that they are queued in case I lose one and miss it in a big scrap. A fresh one being built lets me know that something has gone awry and I don't have to worry so much about restocking if things are really busy on screen.

50/50 at the mo with settings on hard.

Try putting starting res up to quickstart and res rate to high

then sit back and wait to get you arse kicked rather quickly.

My only way to bet them is build 2 chappels/2 mech cults
and just keep the production going.....

i tend to use mines a lot once i have every thing else up and running i just mine a whole area Turrets also get slaped down i make sure the mine field is has deep has the turrets firing range if not more.

I not used the termies yet, not had a need for them. My full squads of flamers/heavy bolters/plasmers and rocket launchers take care of most on the field and if a dread naught shows up well my combo of a pred/landraider/4 dreadnaughts and a wirlywind soon take of it

I tend to send the wirlywind in first to soften the troops up then pull back and 9/10 they come after him and get mowed down by either the troops/minefield/turrets or the dread naughts.

Tend to find 3/4 dreadnaughts can take on a full squad of anything

My best tip ? get at least 4 flamers in a squad and have them at the front....if you have more well the better tbh.
